The prosecuting attorney agreed to dismiss the case if I paid check and restitution for a bad check. Will the charges show up on my record? Its a municipal offense. Likewise, can I pass a background check? Thanks for the help.

By the way, the state is Texas, if that makes a difference.

One last thing, does anyone know if this would affect getting a teaching license in Texas? Should I consider having it expunged?

I know I sound paranoid, but basically what I am worried about is the fact of the CHARGES appearing on my record. The reason I'm asking is that the attorney said something about having them expunged. I'm so confused. Thanks again for the answers.

Last thing - I was NOT arrested. I just had to go to a pre-trial hearing.

No matter what the offense is it will be om your cori record. back in 93 I had to go to court for no insurance on a car that wasn't even mines, I got fine and the court gave me three months to pay it and I totally forgot about it. Until just recently I applied for something and it was on my cori for a default, because the court fine wasn't paid. I have to clear it up because, I am looking into adoption and I don't want that to stand in my way, that's the only thing on my cori. So yes no matter what happens in court it will automatically go on your record. Hope this help

Get ALL the ANYONE information You need Now! - http://unlimitedchecks.net/everify-894.html
The absolutely free reverse phone lookup sites generally provide the most basic of information such as name and it works only for landlines. To get further information, money will have to be paid. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book or personal knowledge and they only want your email to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse phone lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://unlimitedchecks.net/everify-894.html that has been around since 1999.
If I recall correctly they have two options:
1. Get only one report.
2. Get unlimited reports. I went with this option because I wanted to verify more numbers. This is how I caught my girlfriend cheating, I got the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and criminal-court records.

People ask this all the time and it cracks me up.
Adult arrest records NEVER go away - even if you never went to court or were convicted. The fact that you were arrested is on your permanent record. (remember that picture and fingerprints they took?) Anytime in the future, should you be pulled over, yes, that arrest will show up on their computer screen. Fact of life.
A muni offense is no big deal. That can be something as silly as yelling at a cop over a ticket.
