I have worked for my present employer for 4 days and a better opportunity has come along and I'm quitting. My present employer never took my tax information, a copy of my social security card or a copy of my drivers license... What does this mean? Will I still be taxed?

A month ago, I said something at work that offended another employee. I said F***. I was verbally reprimanded by my direct supervisor, the next level supervisor and a regional supervisor the following day. I also was asked to apologize to the offended co-worker, which I of course did with all sincerity.
Today, the operations director decided to read me the riot act and cojolled me into an arugment over professionalism. He asked me if I still wanted to work there and I told him I wasn't sure after his tyrade today. He then sent me home for the day w/pay.
Was he wrong or should I have groveled at his pointy little feet like a sloth?

yesterday my boyfriend went to jail because he failed to do his community service hours monthly. he has the correct amount of hrs, he just did not do them each month. he also has court fees to pay in which he hasnt payed any of them since he was first put on probation in may. how long will they keep him in jail for this and will they send him to tdc( the penatentery) for his 1st violation?

I was involved in an accident around May with my then boyfriend. well he called me today saying that i am receiving money because of the accident. The thing is we received chiropractic visits to fix a back ache that wasn't even major in the first place so i stoped going to the visits. Anyway well he is telling me I need to fill out a 3 page Questionaire...he gives me no details but that his lawyers need my social security number an address plus questions. I frankly don't trust my ex boyfriend at all.He has been involved in insurance frauds in the past and I am scared he is involving me in something illegal. What do you guys think about this? Should I trust him and actually sign the questionaire and receive the insurance settlement. I was also thinking that he might just want to use me and cash out the money. He knows alot of people at his local bank that do "favors" for him. HELP please...

resently i recieved a letter saying that i won 42,000.00 dollars and to call them and let them know i got the letter... but the address in the paper was from canada. and the phone number was from the united states... two weeks later they send a check for $2,480.00 dollars and claiming that i have to cash it and send it back only $2,200.00. in order for them to send back my soposly 42,000.00. yeah right? what should i do... and the address that they want me to send it is from canada and check is from the usa.

they way seperation of church and state was written it was ment not to allow the church to run the goverment or vise versa as was happening in england. so i propose we get ride of current ideals of sepperation of church and state the way they are where the church can have no represntation in the goverment and allow for the church to be allowed representation in the goverment and goverment officials to have religious ideals or background. and limit the seperaration to be not allowing the church to run the country and vise versa.

Does anyone support this idea?

I was recently serving my time on jury duty like the good citizen that I am:-) But the case in question was one that I still am trying to figure out if the damages were reasonable. The case is over and the damages have been awarded so I can talk about the case if I feel like it. The story goes, there was an old lady in the Kroger parking lot walking from the Kroger from just receiving her heart medication. She was walking near the parked cars on the right, meaning the cars were on her right and on her left was the place for cars to drive by to find a space. She was walking along and noticed a car going kinda of fast to be in the parking lot, she side stepped to the right in order to make sure not in the road. Near her were two empty parking spaces. I am not sure if she was in front of the parking space or behind the spaces, but she was near the spaces involved. When all of a sudden, the lady gets hit on her left side by the car and the next thing she knows she is on the ground.

The HIV trial in Libya (Arabic: قضية الأيدز في ليبيا; literally: AIDS in Libya trial) concerns the trial, conviction, and the death sentences imposed by a Libyan court against the Benghazi Six: five Bulgarian nurses (Kristiyana Valtcheva, Nasya Nenova, Valentina Siropulo, Valya Chervenyashka, and Snezhana Dimitrova) and one Palestinian physician (Ashraf al-Hajuj (also transliterated al-Hadjudj)). Based on confessions of al-Hajuj, Valtcheva and Siropulo (allegedly extracted by torture),[1] the court convicted the six of causing an HIV epidemic among hundreds of children in a Benghazi hospital and sentenced them all to death by firing squad. However, as a result of an appeal by the Benghazi Six, their death sentences were overturned on December 25, 2005, by Libya's Supreme Court and a re-trial ordered.

The new trial began in Tripoli on May 11, 2006, and proceeded very slowly. At the June 20 hearing, the court's president denied permission for foreign experts to testify.[2] On 28 August, when the prosecution was scheduled to close its case, the Libyan prosecutor called for the five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor to be sentenced to death. Attorneys from Lawyers Without Borders[3], who handled the defence of the six, responded by calling for the international community to request that the court order an independent scientific assessment, by international AIDS experts, of how the children became infected.[4] Such an assessment was done, an evaluation of genetic material, and it was found that many of the children were infected years before the Benghazi Six arrived in Libya[5][6][7] (see below) — this was reported after the trial had ended but before verdict was announced.

On December 19, 2006, the court announced sentences of death for all of the Benghazi Six.[8] However, this latest trial "will not be the final step in the Libyan legal process... it could be appealed again to the supreme court and could then go to the Libyan higher judicial council, which might grant clemency."[9]

It has always been illegal to encourage or help people to enter the USA illegally. But what about helping people who are already here? Examples are people who put water in the desert, or people who give food to illegal immigrants at charities, neighbors who give food to neighbors, etc. Apparently there was a bill before Congress this year that would make these activities illegal, but I have not located any information about what the current law is.

can a parent who took the children then filed for divorce turn around and give custody to his parents even if his ex is alive and well and capable of taking care of her children they took the kids father in law and sister in law to the windriver res and dad followed then filed for idvorce and now he is in colo. and gave the kids to his parents does she have anyrights. they tricked her to get the kids and our lawyer is slow to act.So she asked me to find out where would i go ? so please only serious help appreciated

My husband got a ticket when a woman pulled out in front of him on an icy road..No way was he able to stop...he skidded when he applied the breaks. anyway, he hit in the back of her vehicle and recieved a ticket of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, they agreed that they wouldnt call the cops and exchanged information...she stated at that time she didnt have insurance. When he got to work he got a phone call from the cops stating he needed to come in and fill out an accident report. They took her statement earlier and took her side of everything. My husband called her and asked her why she called them she said that her Insurence co. told her she had to file a claim. So should he do a trial by judge or jury?

The guidance counciler at the elementary school is documenting LIES about me regarding my behavior while I'm at the school.(interacting w/ my child) I can't come up with a real motive of why she would have such ill will towards me. I'm going to lose custody of my child if I can't discredit the counciler and the school's behavior. Me and my child's Dad are divorced and they've always favored him over me. I've never understood why since he walked out on me and my child and they're aware of that. Both my child and me have both been diagnosed with ADHD. They're aware of my son's diagnosis but I've never told the school of my diagnosis. I'm inclined to think that my child's Dad has made the school aware of this and maybe this is a motive into the guidance counciler's documentation against me. As of today they told his father that I was abusing my son. His father went to court for temp.custody, Because of the schools documentation, it was granted.My son takes meds. and therapy for ADHD

You would think that instead of feeling happy that they've sold another box of cigarettes they would feel remorse every time they hear that more and more people are dying of lung cancer or second hand smoke. It is very obvious that they just care about the millions of dollars they make not about the millions of people who die every year. I would feel ashamed to be a relative or friend to someone who works for that company.

How can I have proof that the item was sent to the buyer so that if they were to at a later date claim that the item was not sent I would have proof that it was. Also who has to pay for this and the insurance on an item, the buyer or the seller? If you give them the option of having insurance or not having it how do you add that extra cost on?

The last five decades the country has seen very high acts of terrorism mostly emenating from Kashmir issue.We have lost many many human beings,the families awere destroyed ,some sect of community displaced out of place, but the ministries either at State or Central remained as spectators for all these happenings.As per special act -370 no other Indian can either buy or sell property in Kashmir land thus paving way for more concentration for select community to continue thier barabaric acts in the name religion and weakening the structure of India.So why every citizen of India represent Parliament to abolish such irrelevant acts so as to make Kashmir more safe for living for our own Indians?If any of selfish Politician counteracts this proposal, he must hanged to death in public place without any mercy? Some times We need to act like Godsey,Ravana,Kamsa..to counter act the inhumanistic creatures acting just for thier identity and fundamentalism with some foreign aid and provacations.

They are having a problem getting parts. My insurance company has suggested that I contact a state's attorney because Nissan has a car on the road that they can not get parts for; speicfically the alternator. Nissan has no estemation date of when they can get one and my car has been in the shop for over a month. Nissan has refused to help with the rental (my insurance contributed to the rental for the first 30 days), and my insurance company is suggesting I talk to the Secratary of State's office. Does any one know my rights?
