You would think that instead of feeling happy that they've sold another box of cigarettes they would feel remorse every time they hear that more and more people are dying of lung cancer or second hand smoke. It is very obvious that they just care about the millions of dollars they make not about the millions of people who die every year. I would feel ashamed to be a relative or friend to someone who works for that company.

I'm an ex smoker and I was never forced to buy them, or even coerced. I doubt the people working for these companies celebrate over each pack either. But it is their paycheck and they work for a legal industry.

I'm glad I quit, but adults have to make their own choices about smoking and that is that.

So you know...

I am no happier about smoking or second-hand smoke than you are - HOWEVER -

Lung cancer is no longer the leading cause of death in the U.S. - it has been surpassed by heart disease.

Whether they actually celebrate or not - I have never heard of that, but my question to you would be...

Since you are taking your time to ask this question - I wonder if you also feel ashamed of the producers of fast food, potato chips, and candy?

I am sick and tired of people blaming the tobacco industry for people dying. There's this handy dandy little thing on the side of the pack called a surgeon generals warning. If people don't have the ability to read it and understand it well then tough ****. We're all going to die some day anyways.

Considering how many cigarettes are sold every day I hardly think they could take the time to celebrate each sale. Who'd be getting the work done?

I don't think they literally celebrate, or they would never even get to sleep from selling so many. I guess they feel as guilty as the people who sell liquor, candy bars and french fries. No one is holding a gun to people's heads making them eat, drink and smoke bad things, so take a little responsibility for yourself and no whining.

It'd take a lot of their time to celebrate. I'm sure they breathe easier with their paycheck. You could find someone to do anything for the right price, and I doubt this is the worst vice out there.

They see it more as people paking stupid decisions and them using that to make a profit. They aren't happy that people are dying, but in there eyes it's not their problem, if they don't want it to kill them in their mind they could just quit. All they see is a profit. Thats why they are so happy.

Probably because it's legal, and a choice.

Why don't illegal aliens feel remorse for hauling in cheap weed and cocaine?

I guess everyone wants "a better life".

I agree, but they are not alone, there are folks who make guns, drugs, and explosive devices for use on the street.
