If God created the human body in His own image, how can our bodies be obscene, indecent, or evil? Are there any good, sound, logical reasons (aside from protection from the environment) why people should be required to be clothed in public? If so, what do you think they are. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I was away for family christmas today and when I got home I noticed lights were on, deadbolt on door unlocked, and doors closed that were open and open doors that are normally closed. I called landlord and asked if they entered my premises today because I had NO idea what was going on. His first response was "No" then "Well, ya I guess my wife was." I procceeded to inform him it was illegal to enter apartment without a 24 hour notice unless an emergency and showing my apartment is not deemed an emergency. His response yelled at me was "Don't F***ing call me and b***h to me about this" He claimed he didn't have my new phone number which was typed as part of my letter when I sent him my intent to terminate lease.
What are my legal options here? I had my underwear laying around, tampons sitting out on the toliet, dirty dishes in the sink, and my aparment was just a complete mess which would have been cleaned if I had known people were coming in.

by law to do anything about it, and if their where no warning signs or cautions saying radiation area but you where made to pass 2 times in the radiation by armed guards what could you do or who would you talk to about it, i need help and direction on this.it made me very sick for over a week and made my teeth bleed and i was very very weak its been almost a year and i still have problems over it, help please

As a returned Peace Corps volunteer, I am disqualified from attaining a security clearance. Thus, I am now ineligible for many types of federal employment and military service.

This disqualification is permanent.

Peace Corps never warned me of these specific risks and nothing is explicitly said in any of its literature, application material, or on its website (http://www.peacecorps.gov).

What action, if any, can I take against the agency for its apparent negligence?

This has dealt a devastating blow to my career plans and I'll have a hard time recovering from this. Peace Corps service is strictly voluntary and, had I been made aware of these facts in advance, I may very well have decided not to serve as a volunteer.

No rude answers, please. Having no legal background, I don't claim to be an expert on the subject and highly value any outside opinions.

Im 19 (not a minor), in NY state, and my mom is always opening up my mail (we dont even have the same last names), not matter what, and its usually stuff pretaining to my union, which is for MY eyes only. She says she does it "because shes my mother", but for mail, thats a tired excuse. She does it so much, i would consider taking legal action (were kinda loaded), just to scare her or something.

AND NO, I CANT MOVE OUT.

I have ben summoned to serve as a trial juror and I just want to know do I have a choice at all on what kind of trial I get? I am not trying to get out of it but I don't feel comfortable with trials on killing or domestic abuse(do to personal reasons). Would I be obligated to still be on a trial that is related to those topics?

I was only about 8 or 9 when that trial was taking place, and I remember when the not guilty verdict came out, some people were dancing in the streets, cuz they were so happy he was innocent....but was what so blatently obvious in the case, that some people still think hes guilty, to this day?

AND, some people say it was his celebrity, but wasnt OJs career way over by 1994?

My mom has 11 children 6 are over the age of eighteen, but my dad has never really lived with us nor has he ever paid child support. My mom struggles to pay a house note and bills by herself. I try and help her out as much as I can. We know my dad is employed and working we have to beg him for the little he does for us. he complains about that and don't always do it. Please I need advice and I need to know the procedure on how to recieve child support. They are still married and my mom cannot afford a divorce. They have been seperated for about 11 years now. So please any advice is fine and greatly appreciated. I live in Houston,Texas.

On these boards I have seen many requests for registered sex offenders in locales parents have just moved to. The problem with this thinking (and one that has been perpetutated by politicians and the media employing scare tactics) is that your child's greatest risk is from offenders who haven't been identified. The US Department of Justice shows that of all the 15,000 or so cases of child sexual abuse annually, only four percent are committed by people listed on the registry; the other 96 percent are "newbies" to the sex offender status. Another statistic is that the number of stranger snatching child numbers about 50 a year, compared to the above mentioned 15,000. A third statistic is that sex offenders, contrary to reported media statistics, have a recidivism rate of as low as 3.5 to a high of 20 percent. Not anywhere the 80 to 90 percent recidivism rate spouted by laymen often.

My brother is in a rehabilitation center and he is still having people that are going to his home. I believe they are stealing from him while he is gone. Is there any way that I can figure out who owns the vehicles that come over without doing anything drastic at this time? I would like to look up the owner of these vehicles. I do not live near his residence, but do know older people that do and have shared to me that there are vehicles parked there at various times. This is an unhealthy environment for me and would like to find information as distant as possible. I want to help my brother, he is a good man, I feel fell into the wrong people. What do you think?

i used to live in Michigan and it snowed during the holidays and was like 4 degrees outside and felt all christmas-like. i liked doing the traditional Christmas things...going to the mall when its jamp packed and walking behind ppl who spray too much cologne/perfume on...the smell of REAL Christmas trees....now i live by the beach in California and it feels nothing like Christmas...its not even cold.

i was hit by a car when i was walking IN THE CROSSWALK less than 2 months ago and my lawyer said not to have contact with the insurance company that the woman has(geico)....but they sent me a letter the other day and they said they were unsuccessful in contacting me over the phone i guess so i was wondering if i should call them and see if i can settle the claim by myself...without my lawyer...hes EXPENSIVE...what should i do? and what are the consequences if i do contact Geico? i appreciate any tips or help :)

I posted this question in homework help, but didnt get what I was looking for.

The things I am mainly looking for is what is acceptable and what is not when you write in a legal documents, eg, are you allowed to use abbreviations, etc....are there any sites, or people who know the ins and outs with legal documentation...The more detailed information I can get, the better....thanks in advance.
