i used to live in Michigan and it snowed during the holidays and was like 4 degrees outside and felt all christmas-like. i liked doing the traditional Christmas things...going to the mall when its jamp packed and walking behind ppl who spray too much cologne/perfume on...the smell of REAL Christmas trees....now i live by the beach in California and it feels nothing like Christmas...its not even cold.
Happy Holidays everybody! be safe!

Just put some Christmas lights on your beach umbrella and make sand sculptures instead of snowmen...it will put you in the holiday mood in no time...a Santa hat and a red bikini may help too.

Yes, it is pretty hard to experience the traditional Westernized White Christmas in non-temperate parts of the world where there is no snow and the smell of roasting chestnuts is probably coming from the bush fire in your backyard.

I guess the best thing to do is to distill the dross, fluff and advertisiing that seems like Christmas to people who dig that stuff and ask if Christmas carries the same message by the beach as by the snow.

Otherwise, there are plenty of Christmasy props including fako snow available at Walmart.

I was born by the beach, less than 1 mile away from the hospital. I have lived in Florida all my life.
One Christmas we went to North Carolina. It was 23 degrees with the wind blowing. I NEVER want to feel that type of cold ever again!! People can keep the snow and cold. I like Christmas in Florida very much.
