A logo, phrase or word ends with the (TM) symbol, but if you search the US Patent Office, it does not exist. Is that logo, phrase or word still legally a trademark? Just just having (TM) make it a legal trademark? Does that apply to the Internet as well?

FALSIFIED REPORTS TO POLICE, ANIMAL CONTROL, & CITY
HALL ARE EVERYDAY OCCURENCES AND WE CANNOT AFFORD TO HIRE A LAWYER, BUT THE SENATORS OFFICE SAYS WE HAVE A MAJOR CIVIL RIGHTS CASE IF WE CAN GET COUNCEL. HOW CAN WE FIGHT CITY HALL? City Hall has revoked our animal licenses because someone has rallied up a few friends in the area and complained with affidavits on my sons dogs. His dogs are sweet Staffordshire Terrior/Pit-X and they love everyone. It is a clear case of discrimination and these
few people have bold-face lied on a stand to get what they want.
My son is a newly heir to a home in Lake Highlands, Dallas, Texas
and these people are ruthless. The 2 women that concoqed the whole ordeal are stay-at-home & do nothing witches that try to outdo each other in reporting violations that do not exist. They have singled out my son because he had a motorcycle and that is not acceptable . How do we get justice and isn't falsifying reports
illegal? How do we prove innocence?

I payed for the site called lightspeed movies.com and they said on the site that it was unlimited downloads for free movies, I paid 29.00 for the access and now im being sued for it. Anyone else in the same situtation out there. They should be suing the site where I paid my money too and was mislead. Now for 2 movies they are asking for $8000.00 settlement for me to pay them, just does not seem fair to me at all, Heck I can hardly pay my bills and they asking a arm and a leg from me for something i was lead to be LEGAL from the site I mentioned, I Live in a rural area in texas and I cant even get legal representation for this because no lawyers here no how to defend a case like this.

for identity theft! This might be just a tad long...please bear with me!

So back in the spring my mom borrowed $ from my g-pa so she could buy a car from his neighbor.

The cops just showed up @ the neighbors house today bc...she had work done on this car @ a local spot, before she went she took her tags off & put the ones that were on it when he sold it to her on the car, took it to the shop, payed with a credit card.

The place called & reported it (for whatever reason, still nto sure how they knew)...the plates came back to the neighbor, so they went to his house.

They told him that a this old lady that my mom used to take care of, who is bedridden called & reported that a credit card had been opened in her name & she didnt do it.

Well that was my mom. She has more than one card & has racked up over $12,000 on this ladies name. They just dont have quite enough evidence to prove that she did ALL of it. The cop said he would rather her just turn herself in,

I have such difficulty in doing my time and keeping current on entering my time. I know better, but keep I letting it get away from me and (i) reconstructing off phone logs and email and docket sheets is such a pain, and (ii) I end up losing a lot of billable time.

Do you have suggestions for a program, or calendar program/system?

How do *you* make yourself keep current and accurate records?

Thanks for your help.

I must be the only person who thinks goverment has violated the laws set forth to govern our nation and people (declaration of independence ,the constitution and the bill of rights ) to ensure freedom and liberty to our citizens would not be infringed on .Government was to be a servant to the people .Not the people to government .The meaning of these documents was clear from the words written ,and the writing by the founding fathers who authored them .Our legislators have passed laws that victemize our citizens and violate the oath they swore to uphold and obey .With total disregard for these documents ,to eliminate the safe guards put in place to ensure freedom ,and control over government . Government is robbing and victimizing our citizens . Destroying the America we know .In exchange for making the rich richer the middle and lower classes poorer .Enslaving our citizens .I asked people to think of the life we leave our children .To unite . The most concern is my spelling.

MY brothers went to a grocery store with my mother in San Antonio, Texas. They were searched due to some other man saw them fondling with candy and putting it inside there pockets, the security guard did not see them but was told by another man that they were stealing. They were then taken to another room and searched without a parent. They didn't have anything on them they were just looking at what they wanted to buy. Is this legal???? My mom after she found out that they were searched got frantic, she didn't believe it was right, especially since he wasn't a real police officer and didn't have any other supervision like the manager with him... He then threaten my mother by not ever letting her in the store if they were accused of stealing. Is this by any way right aren't there certain procedures that have to be taken with younger children ages 10-13

"Yeah, but they're police" you say.

but i believe the rule is Zero-Tolerance. which means NO WEAPONS WHAT-SO-EVER!

you could say, "well hey, maybe the cop needs it for protection if another student brings a gun"

well that's what stun guns are for, they have a high range. you can shoot the things at someone and they stick into their leg. and then shock the **** out of them.

i had a dream last night that i stole my school officer's gun out of her holster and shot like, 10 people, just to prove a point that it's not fair for a cop to carry one in school.

it's held onto her belt by 1 snap-button. easy to get.

They can save about $300 a month, so why don't they?
Some rich people smoke and drink, but most poor people smoke and drink, it is actually a vise of the poor. And yes, if they cut it out for a few years, maybe they actually can climb out of poverty! And yes, if you can afford it, you can get away with it, at least there is money left over to buy food and clothing, etc. for their children! It does make you more irresponsible to have drug habits when you can't afford them and there is something you can do to change your life. Does everyone have to be on drugs? don't think so.
I know many poor people and MOST of them are huge smokers, drinkers, sometimes use drugs, they gamble. They have children, should they be doing that? It's a lot of money going down the tubes. I see them blow their money all the time, and yet liberals say you are supposed to feel sorry for them and not judge? why?

Conservatives are right that it's not how much you make, it's how you spend it.

Bush admits USA needs new strategy in Iraq.
Quote

President Bush, admitting that "it's bad in
Iraq," acknowledged Thursday that the United States needs a new approach in the unpopular war and promised to unveil details in an upcoming speech.

Bush said he was disappointed in the progress in Iraq, but continued to oppose direct U.S. talks with
Iran or
Syria and remained steadfastly committed to spreading democracy across the Middle East.

"I do know that we have not succeeded as fast as we wanted to succeed," Bush said, standing alongside British Prime Minister
Tony Blair, his chief ally in the war. "I do understand that process is not as rapid as I had hoped."

Strippers are artists, court rules
Quote

OSLO, Norway, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Striptease is an art form comparable to ballet and theater, a Norwegian court has ruled, exempting strippers from the country's 25 percent value-added tax.

No longer confined to sleazy clubs, strippers now enjoy an elevated artistic stature akin to that of actors, the appeals court ruled.

The ruling is a victory for strippers of the Diamond Go-Go Bar in Oslo who argued they deserved the same tax-free status as stage performers including standup comics and sword-swallowers, the BBC reported.

The strippers noted tickets for the Chippendales, a male strip act, were exempt from the tax because the act was deemed an artistic performance.

"Striptease, in the way it is practiced in this case, is a form of dance combined with acting," the court ruled, and ordered Norway to pay the club's legal costs, estimated at $27,000.

The government has not decided if it will appeal the decision.
