Have you heard of this? I just got an e-mail warning me that as of Dec. 1, lists of cell phone numbers may be sold to telemarketers. Is it true?

Mine would be that, people could write down your license plate number every time they see you do something stupid while driving and for 3 reports for the same offense, you have to go back to driver's ed.

From the article below: "He is charged with concealing more than $10,000 in his luggage, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, the Detroit Free Press reported."

If I was carrying $10,000, I would certainly hide it for fear of being robbed. Why is carrying and hiding money a criminal offense? I think this law is absolutely appalling.

Is it a crime to carry gold bullion?

If the real reason is that you think he's nuts, but you dont want to say that, obviously. And it would normally be the type of case that you would handle, but the client is not worth the trouble. And you dont want to say you're too busy because that may hurt your chances for referral later down the line.

My mother had been taking care of this elderly lady since her nephew past away (way over 12 years). She cooked for her and cleaned for her everyday because her relatives hated her and wanted nothing to do with her. Not only did my mother take care of her but she also aske my sisters and I to take her to her doctor appointments and everything else that she needed. My mother made sure that this lady was very well taken care of and when she passed away her relatives came after the funeral and broke into her home and changed the locks and sent my mother a certified letter telling her to stay off the premises. This hurt my mother so much. I am wondering if there is no will, is my mother atleast entitled to something? Please help me

Don't police have rules they have to follow on when they can or cannot fire their weapons? I was at my in-laws house this weekend and their busy body neighbor called 911 when her 11 year old came home and claimed to be bit by a dog. We heard noise outside and went out to find out what was going on. The boy's mom came over and told us it was no big deal and that the kid didn't have any marks on him. The next thing we know the neighborhood is crawling with cops. They are running through yards and shinning lights at the houses. Then they fired their guns at a dog! In a residential neighborhood! We had our 5 month old in the house! After a little while the boy's mom came back and claimed that they boy had been bitten and was bleeding. Then the next day in the paper it claimed that pitbulls had attacked the kid and he had to go to the emergancy room. It all sounds like this woman was trying to create drama. But ins't it against the rules for a cop to fire a gun in that situation?

ok to start off with this debate, let me get things clear:

*I'm not on the pedofiles side.
*i'm against pedofiles as much as you.
*I aknowledge that this is a sensitive subject but it needs to be talked about.

Pedofiles... Argh they are sick monsters that should get sent on death row as soon as they commit their disgusting act..But it isn't entirely their fault. No. Whos fault is it as much as the pedofiles? SPIN YOUR HEAD 360 DEGREES. Because it's also TELEVISIONS fault promoting sexual language and sexual subliminal messages in certain shows. The radio... Howard stern talking about hot sexy woman and how good it is that they are young... And todays dresscode is rediculous for young children. Little girls with their *** hanging out of their jeans, and their boobs hanging out of their bra, because it's the commercial FASHION Fashion= all clothing stores.. I was looking at my sisters doll the other day, and the outfit on the doll made me wipe my eyes, it looked like a prostititu

a fee payment must be discussed, before an evaluation is made regarding a possibility to undertake any legal action. Depending on the severity of the case,it will be prioritized and reviewed at the discretion of the local presiding judge. Have legal counsel handy before consulting an attorney. The law is on your side if your an outlaw. Whenever a misdemeaner occurs, it can not be dealt with until it becomes a felony.

A company owes me $3,000 for furniture they never delivered from May 2006. I do not want to go to court, but at this point, I see no other option. (I even requested a BBB mediator to no avail).

My question is two-fold. #1 Could I send a demand letter to the furniture company stating that if they do not settle out of court and should they be found guilty in court—they will owe me an additional $1000 for court fees, transportation, lawyer fees, and missed work.

#2 Secondly, would the court support this and if so what is the best way to go about presenting my NJ case.

I worked in Finance for 2 months in a Temp-2-Perm role for a blue chip company. My agreement was for a 4 month contract which would be then reviewed and possibly made permanent.

Having done a good job, meeting all my deadlines I was shocked to get the sack simply because I had one days leave with flu.
Despite being ill, and sitting at my desk with my coat on still shivvering, I worked Mon,Tue,Wed and Thurs as it was month end and would leave the company in the lirch if I took time off. But after getting all the month end tasks out of the way, I phoned in sick on the Friday at 8am. And my boss said it was okay, get well soon, etc.
But then his boss phoned my recruitment agents and told them to tell me never to come back.
I feel this was totally unfair and wondered if they can do what they did. I fear now as it may affect my future prospects.
