Depends on the severity of the topic... if it involves the authorities i.e. Police, Federal, State, etc Get a lawyer. Many lawyers will talk to you to get an idea of the issues (1 hour or less) and then ask for a retainer.... else they think you are shopping for a lawyer and they waste their time.....

no they should not and if they do find yourself another lawyer this one sounds like a shister. get yourself a good lawyer yeah they are costly but they are worth it . I know i have been through2 divorces. good luck and god bless and happy thanksgiving.
