I put an idea in to be patented and I know that a company has already put my idea into production. I did not patent my idea, because I did not have the money and I was working with an invention company to get my product out there. Can I sue?

I've been reading about how easy it would be for somebody to steal my data from a biometric ID card or biometric passport and frame me for a crime.
I've also been reading that Tony Blair thinks that laws would prevent this - although he does not seem to have mentioned that criminals seem to have a habit of breaking the law.
To add to this, 24 hour surveillance and monitoring of my habits, what I buy, what I do with my spare time...and now drugs that can give me sleep in less time with no ill effects (yet), now available on the market.
Are we about to become battery hens who could be framed for a crime a fox committed?
Should we leave for sunnier climes?

Is the UK tough towards employment of people under 25?And do you think it is fair that people under the age of 25 are all classified as reckless and lazy and most of all unresponsible? We pay more car insurance than older people and earn less money, which is not right!!

Hi, I'm confused, I'm reading about Vasilkovic V Commonwealth (2006) HCA 40 and I'm confused. This guy is a naturalised Australian, but a war criminal. If the extradition act says he can be extradited, how is that unconstitutional when the only reference to the consititution is S51 (xxix), which refers to the Commonwealth having external affairs powers. How can he claim he is being denied his liberty by 1) being arrested and 2) being extradited?

This backwards notion raises costs for everyone else.

Instead of spending their time productively, these people waste everyone else's time looking for a hand-out.

Isn't it about time this was amended? How is it you can appeal a ruling of the court so many times, yet be found not guilty and never be tried again for that same crime?Prosecutors are becoming more savvy in investigating criminals after they've committed callouse crimes and been found not guilty, pursuing them for other crimes in return.
Has there ever been a serious discussion by lawmakers on this subject?Or are we going to allow people guilty of high profile crimes to capitalize on them with book deals and so on?

And by legally insane, I suppose it could mean either in the sense that you could be temporarily hospitalized against your will or that you would be able to enter an insanity plea in court.

Is there any jurisdiction within the United States where some rule like this applies?

I've heard this fact get repeated so many times, but I've always been kind of skeptical. Also, please reference where you got your info from if you answer. Thanks!

My boyfriend is now working for a huge law firm, and I am actually in the process of making the biggest move of my life. I am following him to Washington D.C. to support his career (I am really proud of him). Well his new boss told him that for the sake of his career it would be best to keep his homosexuality on the down low, and re-think the relationship he has with me. Since I may be damaging to his career. Is this for real? I have been with my boyfriend for a year now, and I have always shown my support. He tells me not to worry that we would never split, but am I really holding him back? Would he go further in his law practice without me? Please help me!

What would I do? where could I ask for help? I was suspended for three days and I was invited for the disciplinary procedure to the thing I haven't done, they turned around and tell me I am innocent and they found I am not guilty for the missing money but the next day I received a letter saying I have a verbal warning and it will stay on my personal data file for 26 weeks and I am furious because how can they gave me a verbal warning to the crime I did not commit, they told me that I am innocent, and they give me verbal warning, is it right?

1930s christian conservatives lobbied the passing of laws that made pot a Schedule I drug (means that addiction potential is up there with the likes of cocaine and heroin). We recognize now that pot is not the "deadly drug" that fearmongers pushed on the uninformed so why do we continue to parole rapists and child molesters to make room for some guy with pot in his car?

I’ve noticed more and more people opposed to the war daily.*

I’ve noticed more and more people who think abortion should not be legal.*

I’ve noticed more people fighting against illegal immigration then ever before.*

I’m not “A+” in politics. I know what’s going on--but to a certain degree. There seem to be a lot more people on Y!A and just general encounters who know more then me--which is great.

Passion is great--but why do people complain but not change? Why do people who have ideas not present them? What was it about Vietnam that finally pushed people over the edge? What is it about the movements going on in the 60s that people don’t feel today? I don’t think it’s a lack of passion but I can’t quite pin-point it. What do you think?

*or vise versa--they are just examples

I have not recieved my deposit back from my landlord, it has been over 30 days (I believe california law is 21 days).

I made several attempts to get in touch with the landlord, I was succesful once, and she said I would get it within the week, it has now been another couple weeks, and none of my calls or messages have been answered or returned.

I have all the reciepts for the rent and deposit, and since she didnt send me a itemized statement for why she kept the deposit I guess if I go to small claims court that is no defense for her. The apartment was actually in better condition when I left, then when I moved in.

So my question is do I go to my local civil court and file a lawsuit? I have never been through this before any answers/advice would be appreciated.

BTW I live in Central, Ca

when you receive a corrective action form from work and it says terminated on oct26,2006 but you still worked for 5 days then after 5 days you get put on suspension pending an investigation then you are fired on the 2nd keep in mind you arent seeing this corrective action form till after you have been fired so you only know about the suspension and then being terminated so when the employer sends you your terminated papers it has you as being terminated long before you were put on suspension how does that work?

golden rule defination is like where the meaning of words in a statute if strictly applied would lead to an absurd result and there is an alternative interpretation which avoids the absurdity, the courts are entitled to choose that latter and assume that parliament did not intend the absurdity.
