I live in australia, and I thought it was some law that you had to get paid for 3 hours at least. My boss sent me home after 2 and that is all she said I was getting paid for (no I didnt get fired there was a mix up with the shift.) Is that right? can they do that?

The hours of work and the pay must be stipulated in the contract so that the employer cannot do anything unfavorable to you.
