I was sued several months ago by a law firm for a debt, and a judgment was awarded. It was for $3,500. After that, the firm that sued sent me letters threatening to do things like garnish my checking account, seize my property, talk to my employer - among other tasteless and embarrassing things, so being very fearful of what would happen, I agreed to set up a payment plan with them in order to stop the harassment. They told me they'd only accept a payment plan with automatic debits from my checking account each month. They've been taking about $400 out of my account each month for the last few months. I've repeatedly asked them to send me receipts of the payments I have made so that I some sort of documentation to support it in case they try to come back and claim that I never paid them. I have sent them a certified letter requesting this, and I have asked them verbally many times over the phone. However, they they tell they don't give receipts. Is this legal? If not, what can be done?

I have an empty 10 acre land next to my house. And this ****** keeps driving through it to go a land next to it which they are working on. I told him not to use my land and he said OK. But I keep seeing him driving through it.

So I put up a make-shift wire fence to the entrance but I saw him step down on it and drive through again.

There is an entrace to the land he is working on but it's a little bit longer drive from the main road so I guess he thinks it's OK to use the short-cut through my land.

So would it be legal for me to shoot this bastard?

The black persons in the audience offended Richards by their words, and they were in turn offended by his; they even said "cracker-***". And have yet to appoligize for anything they did? IS this right?

This woman was my mother by the way. I know my mother had life insurance from the hospital where she worked. I know that her husband had her insured for a minimum of half a million dollars.
I could have sworn my mother told me many years ago that she was going to have her children as beneficiaries of that policy from her employer. (she knew her husband had her insured for a small fortune) So is it possible he got that money without our knowedge? And could it be possible her kids were on the life insurance policy to get a portion of that policy too and he did not tell us about it?
We were not even allowed to have a memorial service for our mother. And he shipped her body to another state to be barried.
It was like a nightmare after she died. Could he have distroyed her will? I'm at a loss for the way he is acting and treating our deseased mother and her children. It has been over a year and he has not made any attempt to contact us. We've tried 3 or 4 to contact him...

I work in a university library part-time (I'm a grad student). My desk is right beside the student printer. Often, students print documents and forget to pick them up. Payment for printing is based on the honour system, with students paying for number of pages they print and leaving money in a dish on the counter (they can make their own change too). If students forget to pick up their printing, I am supposed to throw away their documents at the end of the day.

Sometimes, students print documents (mainly journal articles) that I could use in my own research. When the library is empty at the end of the day, I take those articles home with me rather than throw them away. However, I don't pay for them. I always thought that since I didn't hit the print button AND the paper was just going to be thrown away, I shouldn't have to pay for the printing. However, I'm starting to wonder if this is ethical. What do you think? Should I pay or not?

First this man was mean and abusive to his wife. Second he's an alcoholic. Third he's an insurance salesman, Life and Health.
The woman held a job at the local hospital for 20 years, had many friends and 3 loving kids and several grandkids. She lived in the same community for over 35 years and lived a somewhat nice middle class life.
Why on earth would her husband absolutely refuse to put any kind of obituary in the newspaper. Even after the woman's children said they would be happy to write one and pay for it themselves...?
I think it sounds shady to me.
I think he has a "girlfriend" on the side to begin with before the womans death. (She died from cancer, but had signs of abuse when she entered the hospital for the last time. By this time she hhad cancer in her brain and could not speak clearly.)
What reason's are there (other than cost) for not allowing an obituary to be placed in the local paper?

I recently had a a dispute filed against me thru PayPal.

A ruling was made for the buyer.

Basically the ruling confirms BIDS on auctions are not binding.

This buyer has two negatives this last thirty days.

EBAY has been conned by a con man.

Any buyer with buyers remorse or who does not read the auction and wants out merely...

Has to reject all shipping methods provided by the auction and seller.
Not pay for shipping.
File a claim of non receipt and none shipping.
File that any payment was unauthorized. Seems like interstate fraud to me.

and PayPal will freeze the account and then refund because there is no proof of shipping or receipt. I had emails confirming rejection. His own posts say I would not break a 350 pound item down and ship it in boxes of less than 150 pounds. I could not find anyone to do that. I ahd a person who would pick it up, palletize it, wrap it, and provide it to a shipper for $75 which is cheap. I also offered to deliver it at my own cost to Forward Air. He rejected all of these options in emails. So I encouraged him to hire a crater to pick it up, break it down, box it and pay them direct.

I have lost a lot of confidence in EBAY and Paypal ability to ethically and morally perform due diligence and make a sound decision.

This buyer never disputed bidding or buying the item on Paypals resolution board. Nor did he request out of the auction.

I am not too concerned with  this sale and the $250 but I have sold items for much more. Some were sold out of state and picked up locally by friends and relatives and church members.

I was a power seller but developed cancer this past year and cut my activities back temporarily trying to better manage them which was difficult under my health circumstances.

I still have over 1800 low priced items listed ie books that do not clear through PAYPAL. I have a store too. I have done business with EBAY since 1998.

This has really adversely impacted my confidence in EBAY and Paypal.

I could not understand in the past month why two EBAYERs were negative about EBAY or Paypal. One refused to pay thru Paypal, paying with a check instead, and said they had lost a large sum of money thru Paypal. Another said his account had been frozen with $300 in it and like me he is low income, and a father and husband. He would not fight it.

I bought an item, and the seller took forever to ship it. However, she stayed in touch with me and let me know that she had been really sick, so I told her not to worry since this is a xmas present. She says now that she shipped it just before labor day. It has still not arrived. I asked her about it and she says that if it got lost in the mail, there is nothing she can do about it since I didn't purchase any insurance. What recourse, if any, do I have?
