Last time I checked, America had a thing about Seperation between Church and State, right? Then why are our courts and government making laws that say that Marriage can only be a union between a man and a woman as is stated in the bible?

Didn't the founding fathers come to America, create America and govern America to escape the persecution that was so rampant in England? Yet here we are 200 years later, with a whole new set of persecutions. We've gone through several after all. The big ones of course being Slavery, Womens Rights, and Religion. If 2 people love each other, no matter what sex they may be, they should be entitled to the same horrible experiences marriage affords to the rest of us. They also should be allowed to experience the joy of divorce proceedings. They also should be allowed to enjoy the lack of sexual activity and emotional connection :) It shouldn't matter what is happening in bed, it should only matter that 2 people wish to be together forever.

To make a long story short. I was convicted of a property crime (theft) from an incident in 2004 and was released on parole in 2006. An old business partner filed a complaint with the police department alleging I stole money from her. The thing is I was a joint owner in the business and we litigated this previously in civil court and I won. I believe the only reason this happened now is that she is trying to get me in trouble to get me sent back to prison. I admit what I did wrong and am trying to just work and take care of my wife and 6 year old daughter. Even though I know this is all bogus should I be scared? I am just looking for some sort of precedence in this matter or advice. (after reviewing state law the statue of limitation is even expired on the charge). Any helps or comments would be great.

I am the father. I have raised my daughter for the last five yrs. the mother asked to take her out to eat and I agreed and the mother failed to return her. I recieved a call from the mothers lawyer saying I need to be in court this thursday. could the mother take her away from me if she can prove she has a stable home? I have lots of past things against her but nothing current. she has nothing against me. I have been providing a stable home for her these last years. My daughter would perfer to live with her mother if possible. My daughter is 12 years old now. The mother lives 3 hrs. from me and the court date is there. I haven't been served with court papers yet though because of the holiday. What are the chances of me requesting to have my daughter returned to me where she can continue in school and transfer the custody case here where I live ( where the child's home has been up until a week ago) until a final case hearing?

In their sick delusional brains, Ted Kennedy was having sex with Mary Jo Kopechne. No evidence for this, just conjecture.

In their pusillanimous uncharitable brains, she was pregnant with his bastard liberal child. No evidence for this.

In thier lunatic brains, he came up with a brilliant scheme to cover up the problem by staging a deliberate car accident. One that put his own life at risk? Really?

Right wingers are not only insane, but slanderous. Unless you have any concrete evidence of these fantastical charges, SHUT THE HELL UP!

Thanksgiving or Christmas at work because it offends a certain person at work who is also a homosexual. Now if we should tolerate his belief by not praying, than should he tolerate our belief by quitting his job since homosexuals are considered unnatural and have no place in society and on the work room floor. What is your view about about this topic?

You know what? I'm not going to say it. Why should I? It's my right to freedom of speech. They can't make me. And why do we say it anyway? To be 'patriotic'??? It's patriotic if you say it on your own terms. If they make you, is it not propaganda? And don't say that I'm lucky to be in a country where I do have rights like this, etc. I can name at least 10 countries that have the same rights that we do. That's what I'm saying. I could go on for hours, but here comes my question:

Could I really get in trouble for not saying it? Simply because I broke a rule? Martin Luther King broke rules he felt were unjust, and look what happened. Everything changed. I know, saying the pledge is completely different from civil rights. But really. I don't think I should obey a rule that violates my natural rights.

Please don't yell at me if you disagree. Just answer if you know. If you don't, just answer another question.

There was a bandaid in it. Im not joking, it was disgusting. In a quesidilla. He took a bite an it was in his mouth and when he took it out he saw what it was. We called the place he got it from an they said he was lying. So he asked for the managers #. He called and the guy told him to come in tomorrow with the bandaid. Isn't that sick. So we want to get an attorney. We our wondering how much we could get for this and how we should go about a attorney.

Often times I'll hear the rhetoric that "the death penalty is racist" used by opponents to capital punishment. Just curious: how is it actually racist? The fact that more minorities get executed than whites does not prove that statement true in and of itself. First you must prove that the people sentencing these convicts is actually judging according to race, and then and only then will that accusation carry any water. Death penalty opponents - I'd like to hear your thoughts.
