first of all, abortion and capital punishment have no longer something to do with one yet another. there is not any inherent contradiction in being professional-decision and anti-dying penalty OR vice-versa. those are the two noticeably complicated themes, and the two deserve severe theory and advantageous talk. regrettably, the two debates all too usually devolve into call calling and the declaring of bumper decal slogans. as far as Christians helping the dying penalty, it particularly is authentic that there are various Bible passages (fairly in the OT) that help capital punishment, usually for fairly gentle offenses: - Adultery (Leviticus 20:10) - Blasphemy (Leviticus 24:sixteen) - Breaking the Sabbath (Exodus 31:14 & 15) - Disobedient infants (Exodus 21:15 & 17; Leviticus 20:9) - Homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13) - no longer being a virgin on your wedding ceremony night (yet provided which you're a woman - Deuteronomy 22:13-22) yet, there are various passages (esp. in the recent testomony) that are ANTI-dying penalty. as an occasion, Matthew 5:38-39 insists that violence shall no longer beget violence. James 4:12 says that God is the only one that could take a existence in the call of justice. Leviticus 19:18 warns against vengeance (which, particularly, is what the dying penalty quantities to). In John 8:7, Jesus himself says, "permit he who's without sin forged the 1st stone." there are various, many functional problems with capital punishment (that I won't get into here), yet merely from a ethical viewpoint, i will't think of that Jesus would help it. authentic Christians shouldn't, the two.

Hmmm. I don't know if you'll get an accurate answer here, but you pose an interesting question. For the record, I support abortion and capital punishment.

i favor capital punishment and am AGAINST abortion. the guy on death row probably took someone's life, thus deserving this punishment. the child in the womb did nothing but be conceived.... how does the baby get punished because it's parents were too stupid / careless to use protection !

The death penalty is a punishment. Our legal system has become a rehabilitation not of punishment.

Abortion is murder of an unborn child. People who are not willing to have a child should not have sex. End of that one.

The two have nothing to do with each other. We must have law and order in the US.

Not fair to say that I "support" abortion....b/c I do not...but I definitely oppose any type of govt interference in such matters. So, yes I am pro-choice. And I am against the death penalty.
