This time you need an attorney.
In most large cities there are attorneys who handle tenant rights cases.
If you contact your state Bar Association, they can provide a list of attorneys who will help you either free of charge or on a sliding scale.
You need to think about suing the landlord. At minimum ask for attorney's fees if you go back to court.

Yes, if u pay monthly then they can sue you 12 times a year. Try asking thme why they want you out of there so much. Maybe file a lawsuit saying they let go of the place and that you had to call in repairmen urself. Blackmail them, that'll put all this to an end for sure.

They can probably get more money from new renters, sue them for harrassment, If you pay your rent on time and so does your neighbor consider a class action case.

I had to battle with a landlord over a flooded basement which would not have happened if she had it repaired when I put in the work order. I won the battle and she lost her job.

Also, keep recipts, and give all work orders in writting and have them sign a copy and give it back, they may bulk but you have the right to demand it.

How late are you in rent? Did you put the money aside? I think you should seek legal advice. I would think the house has to be in livable conditions. How long ago did you report the leaky roof? If you get taken to court file a counter claim. Have proff that you reported the roof leak, Ect.
