Brazil, waiting the legal time for the divorce. My question is:
is my husband still legally married to me in the USA? Could he deceive a woman there and tell her he is single? Our marriage certificate was validated as LEGAL in the American Consulate in Brazil. Please, help me out. Thanks.

You are legally married to him.He can not legally be in another relationship with any other woman until the divorce is final.He can spend time in jail for that.

Yes he is still legally married to you in the eyes of the law. Yes he can deceive a woman and say he is single. If you find out that he has remarried while he's still legally married to you, you can charge him with being a bigamist.

He is still legally married to you. Both of you have to wait for the official divorce to start a new marriage.

Your husband is still legally married to you until the divorce is finalized, he could tell another woman he was single however if he were to marry her before your divorce came through that would be bigamy which is illegal.

your marriage certificate is legal no matter where you live. He is still married until the divorce is final even though he is in america & you are in Brazil.

He can tell anything to any body bit he'll be committing bigamy, a crime.
Marrying while one has a wife or husband still living, and no valid divorce has been effected is consider a crime and punished by law. Si keep your eyes open and good luck!!!

Yes, he is still considered to be married. He can tell whatever he wants but until he gets the divorce to marry someone else would be a crime.

I cannot second guess the actions of a man I do not know but if he remarries without the divorce; he is a bigamist in the eyes of US courts.
