I'm pro choice and freedom. Nobody has the right to force you to follow their beliefs. If you decide abortion is right for you, that is your choice to make and none of my business.

I don't take the anti abortion crowd seriously because I have not seen one of them go out of their way to help some poor young mother or to care for the many starving and mistreated babies born to mothers incapable of caring for them.

>>>Because after the baby is born no one cares if it is starving and struggling to survive Where are you wacko protesters when the child is born and alone with no one to help >>>

Actually, the Catholic Church has some of the best services around for babies and their mothers who give them a shot at life.

It's a MYTH that pro-life people are only satisfied with preventing abortions, while not caring about children after they're born. It's just not true at all.

Well, rape happens every day somewhere in the country too -- but does that mean that rape is OK?

>>>It all makes no sence to me <<<

Actually, it doesn't make sense to me that people today can still think killing unborn babies is okay -- especially with modern technology, such as ultrasound, that clearly show us that unborn babies are human beings.

Abortion is nothing more than a form of murder -- and nobody can say that they can carry out murder and then claim it to be "nobody else's business."

Murder IS society's business.

Pro-life people believe that the fetus should be respected as a person, as a unique human being with rights. In their view, abortion is not just the woman's business, it's also her unborn child's business.

For the same reason you or I would oppose a woman killing her unwanted 6 mo. old baby, some people oppose abortion.

And quite a few pro-life activists work to help the poor as well. Many pro-life crisis pregnancy centers offer help to new mothers after the baby is born.

It is a personal decision and choice, there are many in our life who feel they have the right to tell you what to do about any number of things including whether to have an abortion or not, its a simple truth....they don't! My mother in law used to bring it up and tut all the time she pro-life until one day I snapped and said you have a big house, plenty of money how many street kids, abused kids, unloved kid, poverty stricken kids are you going to take in...the answer is nil. Protesters are just that protesters all talk no action, no one has the right to tell, shame or take action against another and no one should assume making the decision is easy because its not, the decision is up to the woman and the woman alone and regardless of anyones personal stand understanding and support of the decision to terminate or not to terminate is required.

People who are anti-abortion will tell you it's because an abortion is murder, despite the fact that at the time most are performed it is only a mass of cells. For them, it is very much a matter of morality. Or at least what they've determined to be so. I agree with you; I am pro-choice.

Some people consider abortion to be killing an innocent child. This belief is not something that can be changed by logic. It is on the same level as belief in a supreme deity. It is not something that can be argued about. You either believe it or you do not.

I am anti-abortion and PRO-Adoption. If the parent can not take care of the child, instead of killing him or her, give the baby to a family that will love and care for it.

Perhaps the fact that taxpayers' $$$ often pay for abortions makes it others' business. I agree it is a very personal decision, one that can have significant negative psychological results for the would-be-mom. Tell all the people desperate to adopt children that there is no one there to care for the child once it is born. People should take responsibility for their actions rather than dispose of their "accidents".

It bothers me too, I mean what do people think that they can go around telling women what to do regarding abortion. It upsets me, I'm really neutral to the whole abortion thing, to me The decision is up to the Mother.

I think everybody should stop meddling with people's private lives. It doesn't affect them in anyway if a woman gets an abortion. They don't care about the children in third world countries, so why care about embryos?
