AGAINST and I'll repeat myself....
This Moderate Liberal is against gun control in any form. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution was part of the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights was for THE PEOPLE. The second amendment has nothing to do with the National Guard, State police or such.
Over the last century our 2nd amendment has been eroded by both parties because of the threat of an "armed populace". Once you disarmed the people, the government can do whatever it wants to the people.
Plus gun control only effects law abiding citizens. Criminals do not obey the law, therefor will not obey the laws for banning guns. All gun control laws do is make victims of the people to criminals.

They have implemented gun control here in Australia and all I believe it has done is de-arm the honest and the people that used them in the right manner on the farms, or that have just kept them as keep sakes as there dad, grandfather etc has handed them down.
Even with the gun control you still see shootings, armed hold-ups etc and so forth.
I am Against it...
Why should the innocent hard working people of the world give there guns just so the government can brag about how many guns are of the so called street.
Why not just shoot the crims with there own guns that they use to threaten or shoot innocent with? and then there is absolutely no need for gun control.
Guns are not the problem...It's the fools that use them the wrong way that are the problem.

I'm against. I think a background check is sufficient to see if the person has a criminal record. It's our constitutional right to bear arms and I think that if a family properly guards the gun in the household it's okay. Some people needed for protection and others just want to hunt. I'm going to become an NRA member and I like guns.

Against. I really don't have an opinion on gun control, to me it's a non issue. The Right to Bear Arms is a foundation of the American way, if we are stripped of that we will will become less than American. I have more of an issue with firearm safety and the mishandling of any type of firearm.
My resources for my argument are right in my gun safe(s). I believe we, as American, have the right to protect ourselves and our loved ones by any means that must be taken.

Against gun control
The old saying "If guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns". Gun control just keeps the honest people in line. After all, the honest ones are the only ones filling out all the forms the government requires. I am a firm believer in protecting your home anyway you can. I believe in guns, knives, mace, big dogs, whatever it takes to keep home and family safe. The libs may say that they will one day outlaw all guns, but that will never happen. (there are too many rednecks in this world).

I am against gun control. I am of the belief that people don't need a machine gun. But I am very hesitant to put control on guns, as I believe it is our right to own them. Should they be registered? you bet. Permits to carry one? yes again.

WELL lets see ... I don't want to be on the same side as rosie odental so I guess that I do not want gun control except for times that I have a traitor in my sites.

I am 100% for gun control. You control your gun and I will control mine.
A lawbreaker is not going into walmart to buy his gun..He will get it on the street or steal it. So there is no way that we can control the lawbreaker.
That being the case, I want to keep mine, so we will be on equal ground.
