This is the situation...... A couple have a child but never marry. The father's name is on the birth certificate and a blood test was done. The couple breaks up and are no longer on speaking terms. The mother keeps the child away from the father for 6 months at a time. (with no contact) She moves and will not let anyone know where she lives not even her family. She knows that they will tell the father where she lives. There has been some times that she has just decided she didn't want to keep the child anymore and gave him back to the father and she didn't bother to contact her son. She always seems to get the child back from her family when he is staying with them. The mother is on drugs and will not work. She doesn't have a car and is living with firends (moving all the time). The father knows he needs a lawyer but at the moment he is out of a job. I am wanting to know what are his rights to his child? There are no legal papers stating who has custody of the child.

I am being told I owe over $1000 in back child support yet I have paid through payroll the entire time. I have not missed work in that time nor have I missed a check. I had to pay $18 just to get my record of payment just to attempt to prove it. Now this will effect my credit and no one seems to want to help me the father. Everyone is there to help the custodial parent but who helps the other when they are wronged by the system? This is the second time now and I am at a loss.

I am doing some research for a class and I will use feedback here in the project! I got my information from the US Department of Justice website. My article is going to be about misconceptions about offenders! 90% of people that offend sexually know their victims very well and only 3.5% of sex offenders reoffend. It's more than likely going to be someone you know and in your own home.

I am doing some research for a class and I will use feedback here in the project! I got my information from the US Department of Justice website. My article is going to be about misconceptions about offenders! Treatment programs can contribute to community safety because those who attend and cooperate with program conditions are less likely to re-offend than those who reject intervention.

I don't, because I think we have freedom of speech, but this is the freedom to read. Is it wrong to keep the world from reading? I don't want your personal opinions on whether or not it is fun to read. Please.

.. is unfair. It violates the 2nd amendment of the peoples right to bear arms. And it sends a clear message that his/her life is less deserving of basic constitutioal right's ,or an adequate defense in the face of crime,or home security.
My question is how can a nobody like me,begin the proccess of
changing this law so that one day when someone "pay's their debt to society" they may retain certaint right's such as this one in particular?

My husband is in the Army and is being deployed. He owned his own construction firm here before he got called up, we bought a house and new vehicles and everything was fine. We have not lived above our means and had no problems paying our bills until he went into active duty. Even with the SCRA lowering our bills I am still finding it hard to pay our bills on the E-4 pay he receives now. He was supposed to be promoted because he has been in almost 10 years now but after 3 months of promises it didnt happen. Now his superiors are saying, nope...you are living above your means and you need to sell your house and vehicles. That will solve your financial problems. Can they do that? I mean can they force us to sell our property just because they can't match what my husband was making before and because they won't promote him??? This just does not seem fair to me. Should I consult an attorney??

I am Catholic (I guess) but I haven't been to services in many years. I'd like to go this year, and I was just thinking ahead to Ash Wednesday. At work last year some people came to work with the ash cross on their foreheads, and left it there all day at work.
Does any employer have the right to tell you you have to wash it off or whatever? Or is this religious freedom ? Because I know there are sometimes lawsuits even over people wearing crosses to work.

also, Catholics, when do you wash that off?at end of day on ash wed.? thanks.
