Executors are published in the newspapers.
Check Superior court (Probate)

Ask the family member or if it's going through probate then you or anyone else is entitled to one..Go to the courthouse and see if one was filed or is being filed...it's usually just better if you ask for a copy.

do you know which lawyer drew up the will? If not they have to do a search, and I don't know about Cali, but in Wash state my dad was told it would cost him $500.
