I'm in California and want to make a few bucks taking pictures of surfers while they're surfing and then sell them a cd of all the pictures. Is that ok to do from a legal standpoint?

I have tried to contact them to get my personal tools back and return their keys and some supplies that belong to them. I can not get them to respond. What should I do? My friend and her hubby have a child they have been caring for for the past 2 yaers since she was 3 months old ......they have already adopted her half brother a few years back and was hoping to adopt his sister. The very fact that this child was in foster care , was because she had to be taken away from her mother because her mum was a druggie and she had 10 kids the majority of which was born high due to their mothers drug use......So this baby has a safe and happy home , has her own blood brother she is growing up with ...and now after 2 years of court cases and appeals the Auntie has won custody of this child . This child is now going to be exposed all over again to the stupid parent that put her in the system to begin with....because the auntie and her are sisters.
The Supreme court of Canada made the decision ..what can be done to appeal this ? the lil brother is devastated that his sister is going to be taken away on Friday.can this decision be overturned ?or an injunction?

Yahoo! said: "We continue to employ rigorous procedural protections under applicable laws in response to government requests for information, maintaining our commitment to user privacy and compliance with the law."

This was Yahoo's reason for forgiveness after helping communist China send Jiang Lijun to four years in prison in November 2003 for his online pro-democracy articles in China.

And this is from Yahoo! an American company.

What are your views on their decision to overlook ethics and human rights for money?

Do you still trust Yahoo! with your e-mail and search results?

Google and M$ are also in the game so we are doomed with monopolies with no choice but to use and make money for pro-communist services.

The rent was up to date and the following month's rent was paid by the deceased's sibling to schedule professional movers and clean...the apartment was rented 2 days after the the keys were returned. A check was sent to the sibling's address but it was made out to the estate of the deceased. There was no will. When asked to write out the check to the sibling rather than the deceased's estate, the owner stated that he was doing a favor (check made out to the estate) and did not have to pay otherwise. He chose to take 20% out of the deposit for carpet replacement (rented 7 yrs) but did not replace it. The owner admitted that the sibling should be paid for the cleaning but after waiting 3 months the sibling asked the owner why he was "sitting on the check" ,.. the owner replied "you're being pushy, I think I will "sit on the check" it has been 5 months...Is there a legal stand in this event?

According to the magazine "The Week" page 6, "Only in America, A federal jury has awarded $24.2 million to two men who were burned by a power cable while illegally climbing on top of an Amtrak train." ...."both 17 at the time of the 2002 accident, argued in their suit that Amtrak should have posted signs warning passengers that locomotives were powered by electricity and were not safe to climb." ...."the young men's lawyer, conceded that it would have been their fault if they had fallen off the train--but that Amtrak should be held responsible for the "unannounced, unwrapped, unmonitored" 12,500-volt power cable on top of the train." It seems to me that this lawsuit should have never been filed in the first place. I also believe these individuals should never have been granted such an exuberant amount of money for their own negligence. If you would have been a panelist on this jury, what would your verdict have been?

If former members of the Nazi party were found in the US, could they be arrested for war crimes?

(This is asked in the vein of "The Apt Pupil," which is both a short story by Stephen King and a movie featuring Brad Renfro and Ian McKellen: about a former Nazi who is discovered in the US by a student and blackmailed.)

http://bluemlein.blogspot.com/ - my friend sent me this link. My jaw dropped!

Read the blog and ask yourself why the Dr. Phil website would first publish the comment, then drop it? Could it possibly be that someone's nose was out of joint because of the last paragraph, which - in my opinion, at least - makes a valid point about the tenor of the show?

Millions of people in America say they voted the way they did on Tuesday because of corruption and ethics issues. All this from a general population that has little room to talk given the fact that many of them have morality issues in their own lives. Kinda like the "kettle calling the kettle black", isn't it?
