Hussain Has been sentenced to death by the court.
I oppose the death penalty under all circumstances, without exception.
It is not surprising however. Even though Amnesty International reports that most countries of the world have now abandoned government killing, communist, Muslim, and dictatorial countries - and in the West, the lone United States, continue the barbaric and anti-human rights policy.
In Romania in 1989 they killed the communist leader and his wife and then swiftly outlawed the death penalty, but it will be different in Iraq. There the culture is inured with "religion", and it is the religion of a guy we call "the Prophet" and the prophet was certainly a man of the sword. So, violence will continue there. Is it any wonder that violence continues there?

He was a cruel dictator, but deserves life in prison not dead penalty. Dead penalty transform the government in another murderer, is like the Hammurabi code in practice. For people like Saddam and another fanatics dead penalty is not a punishment is a reward and probably he will be converted to a martyr.
If we use the same logic: Who is next, Pinochet?

I was shocked. It was too much for a world to continue the same punishments that were done by him.
I want a saner world. Death is enough of a punishment. The torture to his mind goes to our minds as well.
Instead of straightening out the bumps we make bigger ones.
Oh well that's history isn't it.

i don't normally go for the death penalty but.. since he is unusually cruel and has harmed so many and would definitely continue he qualifies for extinction.
