I am doing some research for a class and I will use feedback here in the project! I got my information from the US Department of Justice website. My article is going to be about misconceptions about offenders! Most sex offenders were not sexually assaulted as children and most children who are sexually assaulted do not sexually assault others.

Only sometimes, and less than you would think.

But most of them would NEVER harm a child since they know what it is like. If you already walked in the shoes of a sexually assaulted child or person, you would never want to hurt a person like that.

Not really, I have a friend who had been sexually abused when she was a kid but she grew up to be a more stronger and responsible person. But some who had such experience developed high urge for pleasure or sex. Not everey sexually abused children will turn out bad. It also depends on the support they'll have from their loved ones, especially thir parents.

Well if you are doing a study, you probablly shouldn't have told us aboout your statistics beforehand... but anyways, i don't believe that a majority of sexual offenders were abused, but i think that if some abused children are not counseled through their trauma, teh cycle will continue. But i understand how that can be a misconception because patterns of domestic abuse and sexual abuse sometime over lap, but usually stem from two seperate demons.

a lot of people who sexualy assault others were sexually assaulted them selves.

but there are many people who managed to get over it ,
a lot depends on the manner of assault.

Kids that are beaten and forcefully treated
