I dont believe america is that strong country it once was, its has a terrible foreign policy, its social security is diastrous, it has a ucnh of billinares and lots of middle class-poor people ( poor because if youcompare them to the super rich they are sooo poor), trillions of dollars in debt, china will have more relevance in this centruy than america will with its army of , cheap labour, industrial capacity, and hightech profesionals,..well not even americans want dollars anymore, heard of berkshares ? so maybe america is overpriced? maybe america is not so important anymore in the world.,,,or will cease to be soon?

If so how do you propose to bring pressure on the Democrat Senate and the President to correct the situation? Will you actively work to defeat those Senators who are willfully ignoring a populace opposed to AMNESTY by any name? This is a critical issue to our continued national soverneighty.

Have you contacted your Congressperson to let them know?
Try these two web sites.

grassfire.org
numbersusa.com

If you are one that supports this bill, you can use the services provided to thank your congressperson as well. There is no need to violate my posting. Free speech remember? Unless you feel so harrassed by this posting, and in that case, just move on to the next question.

I have just recently had my house appraised and I was shocked to say the least. My home has increased only 21% since bought this home in 1986. Yet the average in Phoenix and the surrounding cities is 72% during the same time. I asked my appraiser why this is and he stated honestly, "it's the area you live in" 20 years ago this was one of the hotspots to move to and now everybody wants out of here because of all the imigration to this area. Now I won't say illegal because I don't know how many are illegal except when I've came home from work and a few time and see the INS cars and Sherriff department out here and then see on the news that another coyote house has been busted in my neighborhood. That has happened 3 times in just the past year. So do you really think that ILLEGAL immigration doesn't cost or effect us at all? I'm learning the hard way that my beautiful home isn't worth much more than what I paid for it 20 years. And this is Phoenix, the highest state for housing

Considering the mass migration of Mexicans into the U.S. is acknowledgment of the failure of Mexican government to govern and tend their own peoples - and considering the vast majority of money paid to immigrants by employers in the U.S. goes back to Mexico anyway - why not annex Mexico as a U.S. territory like Puerto Rico?

The U.S. is by the vast opinion of immigrants, run far better than Mexico - otherwise we would have no mass migration of immigrants here into the U.S.

Big business in Mexico is a puppet of the U.S. gov't anyway.~

Without the U.S. the parasite known as Mexico would wither and die anyway.

have already called my state and local authorities regarding my place of employment hiring ILLEGAL immigrants and they have been fined 3 times now are facing losing thier business lisence. I am O.K. with this. I can not stand by and watch the company I work blantanly break the laws this country has set forth. While others complain about it I actually do something about it. The only thing I don't have is Sherrif Joe's phone number on my speed dial. But don't think for a minute that I don't him personally speak with him and make him aware of any situation that I konw of for a fact. We all need to step up people and take charge of this situation which includes contacting your congressman and senators. If you're afraid to report you place of employment than you are also part of the problem.

Since Congress is determined to shove some kind of amnesty plan down our throats whether we want it or not, could we do better?
Hypothetically,if you had to come up with a "compromise" bill, one that has some allowances for a path to legalization, what would it be? Let me know your ideas. Here is mine:
1.The borders must be secured first.
2.Anyone here illegally has 30 days to register with no fines or fear of deportation at this time. But,if they do not register, can be deported after the thirty days if found.
3.Once they are registered, they are given a 90 day temporary visa. During this 90 days,a complete background check will be done, they must get a physical exam at their expense and show proof that they are employed.
4.If all the checks show good health, employment and no criminal background, they will then be given a temporary 1 year working visa during which time, they must file to become legal. If the background checks, health or employment do not check out, they will be given 60 days t

It is clear that there has been a coordinated effort to unite Mexico and America by some of our high office executives. The immigration bill and the spp plan layed out by the Secretary of Commerce. All I can say is that when all of this is over there is social and economic damage that will need to be assessed. Fines will be levied, and sentences will be served.

This is interesting.
So often, we get caught up in a debate over political semantics and end up ignoring the hard-shell realities of what we're talking about. According to immigrationCounters.com, Here are some of the realities that Flake-Gutierrez Bill would airbrush out of the picture:
Number of Illegal Aliens in the Country 20,807,645
Money Wired to Mexico City since January, 2006 $22,213,001,672.00
Cost of Social Security Services for Illegal Aliens since 1996 $397,450,739,563.00
Number of Children of Illegal Aliens in Public Schools 3,958,789
Cost of Illegal Aliens in K-12 Since 1996: $13, 965,063,431.00
Number of Illegal Aliens Incarcerated 332,594
Cost of Incarcerations Since 2001 $1,398,127,429.00
Number of Illegal Aliens Fugitives 642,799
Skilled Jobs Taken by Illegal Aliens 9,872,838

Figures can trick your eyes. Take particular note that items 2,3,5, and 7 reflect BILLION not millions of dollars -- and that item 3 exceeds one-third of a TRILLION dollars.
Can you imagine how much it will cost taxpayers if we triple the number of Illegals entering this country!!
****************
So, What's in a Billion?.......
Granted................. this is from the US!
The next time you hear a politician use the word "billion" in a casual manner, think about whether you want the "politicians" spending your tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans. It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . .

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), and David Vitters(R) are presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?

a. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.

b. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your home gets $1,329,787.

c. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

Washington, DC. .... HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

This is too true.........And these numbers don't lie.........and, it's not funny!!

My husband is a German and I am a born US citizen. Before, he can apply for a Green Card he has to have a sponsor for ten years. Normally, the wife sponsors her husband. I can't because I am disabled and I get a SSI check. For me to sponsor my husband I would need $16,500 to cover his sponsoring and our living expenses. That is what I was told by a USCIS worker. No, one in my family can do it. My mom & step-dad won't because my sister's ex-husband conned them out of $55,000. So they are afraid to take the risk.

Do you know what we could do about a sponsor???

Thanks.

0 Why do you say we are "immigrating" when we, the munchkin peoples, are "migrating" throughout our land.
Part 1:
Aztlan is the ancestral homeland of the bugaloo peoples, and is referred as Never Never Land, the land of the seven dwarfs. Our ancestors, dopey, sneezy, sleepy, grumpy, happy, bashful and doc inhabitated these caves and throught spread throughout the Never Never Land. Our ancestors gave candy to this candyland, forming a wonderful childrens game.

Part 2:
Okay smart, great and legal American citizens, we have established that Never Never Land is a wonderful childrens tale. We are the dwarfs of Never Never Land, the lifeblood of Never Never Land. When we travel throughout Never Never Land, we are not "immigrating" from one part to another. We are giving more candy for the children.

Why don't they deport the illegals back to their own country and help them rebuild their own country with their own money? Why should the President and Senate have the right to tax the citizens of the USA for people we are not responsible for? Doesn't the Senate realize that if they take away the money and jobs from the taxpayers, that they won't have an income either? Who will be left to pay for our government?
