They have a serious homegrown terrorist problem arising from the millions of muslims they welcomed. The U.S. is right around the corner, with 25% of young American muslims saying homicide bombing is A-OK. Would you say no good deed goes unpunished?

Since the Mexican border with the US is such a MAJOR problem in terms of drug smuggling and illegal entry, should the US military be pulled out of Iraq and stationed along the US-Mexican border with orders to shoot anyone who tries to cross? Should a 10-mile-wide military free-fire zone be established using 500,000 US troops to deter illegal border crossings of all types?

They come to America and abuse us. They steal jobs away from REAL Americans. They use the schools and hospitals and stuff like that and don't pay. And they scream and yell about it to anyone!!!!!!

They are happy being illegal. Why do they want to be llegal. They are so much happier being Meixcan or whatever they are. Why did congress even bother pretending to try to make them legal?

Let me start off by saying I am neither racist nor xenophobic, i have lots of Polish and Hungarian friends who are wonderful people. The problem i have is that i hear all these arguments in favour of mass immigration and yet none of them stand up. Some of the Mythological Benefits are;

1. "They create huge Tax revenues."- This one is utter rubbish. If you took all the unemployed and put them to work not only would you be receiving the same Tax revenue you would be cancelling out the Welfare payments.

2. "They do the jobs the British dont want to do." well maybe if companies increased the wages and made them competitive people would want to do them.

The negative affects far outway any of the so called positive affects, we now have prison overcrowding, lower wages, housing shortages/ soaring house prices (please dont say this has nothing to do with immigration) The only benefit it brings to this country is that it make us more multi-cultural.

Some people need a history lesson. The Republic of California broke away from Mexico and was an independent nation before America brought it in as a state of the United States Of America.

Mexico can pound sand, if they want California back they should send the Mexican Army here to take it back, hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahah

Brought here by my parents at the age of 8 on a tourist visa. Was told that we are going on a vacation to Florida(Disneyland etc.). once there, I learned the truth that we are staying here. I grew up in this country, and I barely remember my country(Poland). I know perfect english, have a 4.0 GPA and stay out of trouble. I would not leave this country for any money in the world, as I love it and apreciate it. My parents are to blame I know, but they told me that we would have no opportunities in Poland because there are no jobs left and the economy is horrible. We would either come here like this or be homeless. This was the last option and they took it. Of course once here, they started paying taxes in the first month, bought health insurance etc. It is only getting worse in my country, despite what the media tells you, despite what you may have heard. My parents had no other choice. I understand that you may think that they are criminals, but am I as well?

I say that we shoud let them in... Immigration should be legal no matter the surcumstance. We stole this land that is now the United States. We stole it from the Native Americans, and from the Mexicans. Every U.S Citizen is an immigrant in a way. From england, Africa, Germany.. There is no American blood- It's just a name.

Reading messages posted in spanish Forums in Univision (the most racist, antiamerican and pro-illegal agitator of the spanish media in the USA) somebody was asking for help to build a statue in Mexico City honoring senator Kennedy "como el mejor amigo de los inmigrantes ilegales en EEUU" (as the best friend of illegal inmigrants in the USA),.

What do You think about this?

I understand why we might want to give illegal immigrants legal residency here. Racist and dishonest employers abuse illegal immigrants because they know they are afraid that if they complain about the abuse, they could be deported. IF we legally acknowledge them, we would end this cycle of abuse. I don't understand why we should give them an opportunity to be a citizen. They are not the most desirable to become a citizen, because they already broke our laws. If we give them residency, we are giving what they want most, a higher standard of living. We promised them nothing, unlike our legal immigrants. They were warned not to come here, by the fact we made it illegal for them to be here. Any abuse they recieve was partially caused by them disregarding are warning not to come here. Why we should give them our greatest gift, the right to vote. I acknowledge they have rights, and giving them residency would fulfill that.

Could American racism push one day the huge Hispanic population towards acts of violence?
Since it's American negligence in enforcing its borders the reason so many sneaked in, and being their presence a fact, and massive deportation a dream, shouldn't mainstream America grant amnesty and go along with the Whitehose Immigration reform?

what does that say something about our national security/ and border? it sucks total as-s. pretty much a revolving door. border patrol probably says, "ill see you next week mexican illegal dude". osoma bin laden could have went into america 12 million times and still not be caught. total ludicrisness, he could have built a nuke, had several test like north korea did, and probably has enough tests to have a successful nuke. america has been invaded, hear that again, america has been invaded, without violence.

"In 1938 the Nazis burned every synagogue in the nation, shattered the windows of every Jewish establishment, hauled twenty-five thousand innocent people to concentration camps, and forced the Jews to pay 1,000,000,000 marks for the damage.

"Five days later, at a White House press conference, a reporter asked the President "Would you recommend a relaxation of our immigration restrictions so that the Jewish refugees could be received in this country?"

'This is not in contemplation," replied the President. "We have the quota system.'

"The United States not only insisted upon its immigration law throughout the Nazi era, but administered it with severity and callousness. In spite of unprecedented circumstances, the law was constricted so that even its narrow quotas were not met. The lamp remained lifted beside the golden door, but the flame had been extinguished and the door was padlocked."

WASHINGTON — The political battles that helped bring down sweeping immigration legislation in the Senate are sure to rage on, although the bill is all but dead until after the 2008 elections.

"Immigration is going to have to wait until we get a new president and a new Congress," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said after a 46-53 procedural vote Thursday derailed efforts to move the bill toward final passage.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — The sheriff’s department has developed a remarkably effective — and controversial — way of catching illegal immigrants: Deputies in patrol cars pull up to a construction site in force, and watch and see who runs.

Those who take off are chased down and arrested on charges such as trespassing, for cutting through someone else’s property, or loitering, for hiding out in someone’s yard, or reckless driving, for speeding off in a car.

U.S. immigration authorities are then given the names of those believed to be in this country illegally.

Great Idea!
