Immigration - November 2007

When I arrive at the airport after a journey abroad, do the officials at the border control look up my green card A-number on the computer? I think I am out of status, as I took a permanent job in Canada at a University. Will I be able to keep my green card? I'm worried as I'm about to fly into LAX next month after a conference. Also I frequently fly to California to see my girlfriend. I want to keep my green card because it is much cheaper to fly to and from America to Australia than to and from Canada. So I like to pop over to Seattle to fly to Europe or Australia. I left America for good three years ago, but I always tell the officials at the American border that I'm on sabbatical. So far it seems to work.

If they indicate it during point of entry to the US customs, usually how long can they stay? Would half a year be too much?

Either legal, illegal or both. I really just wish everyone would leave the Mexicans alone. They haven't done anything wrong. Whats the big deal??

What would you do and how would you feel? Bear in mind that the person did not ask, they just got in front of you. You are mindful enough to question them about their behavior and they tell you that they need to check out and that they were taking care of their needs. Simple as that. Would you let them stay in front of you or would you complain and have them removed from their position in the line?

The anti claim that "illegals" jump the line in front of, or in place of pending immigrants IS A FALSEHOOD.

Pros..be careful Anti's will use this as a tactic to divide and claim false moral highground....ask them to tell you the title of the immigration laws or visas....watch them stutter and turn paler than kkk ghosts

if ANTIS your not AFRAID to have your perception challenged click on the following:

all the info can be cross-refrenced at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

; ) CHEERS!!!

as a BONUS question

WHY are Antis SO ignorant on the subject they try to debate...as I speak to more antis....most DONT know the difference between H1-b and H2-b visa???? or the clauses of the DREAM or SAVE act

and they SHOUL know the SAVE act!!!!!!...hahhahahhah

Any program that gives benefits to Illegal aliens or even the same, over hardworking Americans citizens is just plain stupid and truly un-American. It's like rewarding law breakers and penalizing Americans citizens. No more double talk or "Hillary" clitonain speak.
You are either for Americans citizens or you not it is that simple. So what is it going to be....

Employment of an alien is illegal. Being employed is not illegal (though the person may be deportable). Is there a statute against self-employment? I don't see one. Can someone give me a statute if it is.

Will they actually be able to beat out American citizens? Will their crimes go unpunished? Will they be able to disrepect our country and get away with it?

Why don't the ultra-wealthy Mexican elites help to pay for the health care and education etc of their own poor? Why do they instead encourage their poor to leave Mexico and invade the United States?

When I fly into the States, returning from vacation, what happens at the airport? Will they look me up on a computer to check my green card is still valid? Is it all centralised and linked up to immigration control? Or is the guy on the desk just allowed to make his own decision?

We are now living together here in Canada. My question is how can I marry (or what are the things to prepare) her as she can't go back to her country to get an annulment as no divorce in her country. Thanks I appreciate sincere comments.

I enlisted in the Army this week. I enlisted for 3 years active duty. My MOS is Multiple Launch Rocket System Operational Fire Direction Specialist (13P). I got a $6,000 bonus, & I leave for basic training on January 2. I decide to enlist in the Regular Army because I love America, & I want to serve my country during war time. I am willing to fight for America, & it's legal citizens. I'm against illegal immigration because illegal immigrants are hurting American society, & are negatively affecting the lives of many American citizens. I want the United States to remain a strong & proud country, that doesn't lower it's standards for people who don't even have a right to be here. I'm tired of people thinking that it's America's responsibility to take care of Mexico's poor citizens. I think it's time that America started putting American citizens first.
