If George Bush was thinking right in the first place, he would have secured the borders when 9-11 hit! I wrote him at that time and told him this was going to be a huge issue because the American people were sitting ducks. We needed border security! He did not care then and does not care now! ICE does not have a clue who is coming over the borders or even who is in this country! Illegals are pouring over our borders posing a huge security threat. Not to mention the drain on American taxpayers!, I wonder if the average American knows what we dole out in WIC, food stamps, section 8 housing, free education, and free health care to illegals who come to drop anchor babies in order to collect benefits? George Bush knows but does not care! He is not hearing what the American people have to say! He has sold us out to the law breakers who come here and wave flags of other countries and refuse to speak English! They openly show hatred for our laws and demand rights they are not entitled to! His track record on immigration is the worst of any president to take office, in my opinion! No, he is not listening nor will he ever listen! I am afraid we will have to speak louder to get anyone to listen. This issue is far from resolved. Make some noise with your elected officials and let them know their political future depends on their loyalty to the voice of the people! Demand accountability from your elected officials!

The president is not the only one to blame, look at your local reps and senators. A majority of America wants the border secured for many reasons. Dubya and others have NOW failed to listen to the people. I am glad the Senate shot this bill down for the time being.

We need to bombard our senators and President with our letters telling them to secure ALL US borders. If it takes something similar to the wall of china or the Berlin wall, go for it!

We already have a bill in place that secures the southern border. All we need is a law to penalize business' that hire illegal immigrants.

I say when the Primary elections and the 2008 comes along, base your votes on who is listening and willing to secure the US.

Pelosi and company (you know the legislators that make the laws) that are in control of the Senate and the House now, are more concerned with not funding our soldiers and closing Gitmo than securing our borders.

There was no mention of anything after the immigration bill did not pass from the left........ nope just subpoena's for Bush's records, not funding our troops, and closing Gitmo.

Why cannot the legislatures not hear us,,,, that should be your question.

Yes, he does know, he plans to grant amnesty to all illegal immigrants and give them jobs as border patroll officers.

They know all the gaps where people sneak through!

Brilliant, George W. Bush is absolutely Brilliant!

George Bush doesn't care what the people say. And yes, we need something like the Berlin wall to secure the border. George is probably scared that his buddies the big drug cartels that do so much business from illegal drugs such as cocaine being pushed past the border. will be upset if the borders are completely closed off.

I am no Bush fan, but you got it wrong. He wants the boarder secure, but he wants to make the 12 million illegals already in the US legal.

If you're going to gripe, make sure you get it right.

He said during the campaign that he was going to do what he thought was right, not base his policy on polls. That's called integrity. If you don't like it, vote for someone else next election.

If Bush gave a s**t what you wanted he wouldn't be president in the first place. Bush works for his friends, not for the people. And his friends want CHEAP LABOR. You can b*tch and moan and whine all you want, he's not listening.

here's a scary thought

if he militarized the border, enforced our laws, pushed to end chain migration and anchor babies -

he'd have 10x the number of people coming in here a year with no one saying boo about anything he wanted...we elected him to protect us and if he did he would've gotten anything...
