You really think that ILLGEL immigrants don't effect us economically?

I have just recently had my house appraised and I was shocked to say the least. My home has increased only 21% since bought this home in 1986. Yet the average in Phoenix and the surrounding cities is 72% during the same time. I asked my appraiser why this is and he stated honestly, "it's the area you live in" 20 years ago this was one of the hotspots to move to and now everybody wants out of here because of all the imigration to this area. Now I won't say illegal because I don't know how many are illegal except when I've came home from work and a few time and see the INS cars and Sherriff department out here and then see on the news that another coyote house has been busted in my neighborhood. That has happened 3 times in just the past year. So do you really think that ILLEGAL immigration doesn't cost or effect us at all? I'm learning the hard way that my beautiful home isn't worth much more than what I paid for it 20 years. And this is Phoenix, the highest state for housing

I've had this question posted for a while now and no pro amnesty people here saying that it's not the illegal immigrants who are driving dwn the property value of my home, hhhhmmmmm they must've missed this question huh? FYI people, I never said anything about selling my home. I have it appraised every 10 years and then report it my insurance company along with updated photo's of my property in and out of the home. I can't expect my insurance company to pay for something without showing them proof that I had the merchindise in my home before any incident could take place.

Immigration to America in the 17th to 19th century was by decent, hardworking, well intentioned people, heading to America with honorable intentions to build and contribute to society. They created a workable social system with benefits to the deserving and a society of well-intentioned and decent people. But no such people come any more.

Now they come in droves, packing the major cities, causing an increase in crime, congestion, and taxes as real estate rents soar, parking is unavailable or exorbitantly high. Americans who took their entire lives to pay off their home mortgages, now find that the taxes on their homes are so high, they cant afford to live in them any more and the congestion so bad, they cant even find a place to park in front of their own homes. Many have to pack up and move out of the city, just to make ends meet, and then face the arduous daily hours of driving back and forth just to get to work and back home. That is, those that still have jobs, since as this goes on, jobs disappear, either right here where we get laid off, or the whole company moves out to a cheap labor country. And as the hordes make demands for energy needs, power needed to heat and light homes and buildings is insufficient, and cities black out, the demand for gas soars, heating prices skyrocket, and our own supply of gas becomes insufficient to meet our own needs, and we become victims of the arabs, who use the pumps to revenge our policies they don’t like.

They pile over the borders or by plane on visitor visas, preying on the good naturedness of Americans to provide a refuge for the oppressed, they connive the appearance of the downtrodden and persecuted, and then sit down comfortably and stay here, leeching off the health care system which faces bankruptcy in 20 years, the welfare system that us sucker u.s. taxpayers have to pick up the tab for, and which we spent decades to build.

Social parasites from latin america, flock here to live free on us sucker taxpayers, dragging their families and relatives in, once they get green cards and then swamping the health care system with their third world illnesses and birth defects. And the other breed of latinos – criminals of the most evil intensities terrorizing communities in which they rob and kill.

Thieves and common criminals from the countries of eastern Europe and the soviet union, hearing that there is still stuff on store shelves when stores close, that hasn’t been shoplifted or sold, come and steal, with impunity.

Mafia organizations that control Russia and the countries of the former soviet union, setting up foreign crime systems that specialize in grand larceny, weaponry, even nuclear arms materials for sale, stolen from the old soviet system, available for sale to our enemies, raking them million$.

Africans with strange ,deadly diseases walk in, causing epidemics and death to our gay citizens and to innocent people in general and swamping the health care system.

Asians with alien religious philosophies, contrary to Christian monotheism, poisoning the minds of our youth. And they come and take our jobs away here in America, while employers, enticed by cheap labor, move their companies there, leaving us unemployed,.

Terrorists walk in and go about their death tactics with ease and we shudder at what they will do to us next.

All, contributing to crime, violence, social unrest.

Finally, To add insult to this injury, our government picks up the tab for hundreds of
thousands of third world “students” to come, pack our universities tuition free at the expense of us US taxpayers ,while we Americans fall into debt to pay for our own children to get a college education.


AND WE ARE EXPECTED TO PICK UP THE TAB WORLDWIDE
FOR THEM, WHENEVER S--T HAPPENS ANYWHERE.
What kind of fools are running this country?

I understand you question and the frustration that enables you to sell your house at a profitable return. However it is not fair to point to immigration as the sole reason for your property decline. If anything you should ask 1.) is this a buyers market? even though this is a stable economy it is not a buyers market. Americans at this point flat out want to save and horde there funds right now, which I can't blame them. 2.) ask what type of system allows you investment to decline simply do to the demographics of the community. Seems to me that is a more pertinent issue to address being that you are not going to be able to buy up all the houses in your community. It kind of reminds me of the saying "there goes the neighborhood" when a black family moved in the community. What makes this standard true. Also my feeling is it has to do with the fact that there are several houses on the market in your community, as you state which has the tendency of demanding market value at that point especially if it is not an affluent community.

A similar situation occurred to a friend of mine. His neighborhood was full of good hard working middle class Americans 20 years ago. As these people have died or moved on they have been supplanted by Hispanic Task masters who purchase a house and then rent 1 house out to 3 families. they do this several times and the home values begin to plummet. The decent neighbors that are eventually left behind must sell to the landlord for next to nothing in order to just get out. The people who decide to stay have to put up with all manner of improprieties.
This is why there is a mass exodus from most larger inner cities to suburbs many miles away. Get out while you still can!

Anybody that CLAIMS that the illegal aliens don't NEGATIVELY effect our economy are either uninformed, blind, stupid or they are not wanting to know. THERE IS NOTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND AMNESTY! IT IS KILLING OUR ECONOMY AND OUR COUNTRY!

The Heritage Foundation estimates that the American taxpayer has to pay over $22,400 per family per year. This actually INCLUDED taxes they paid - sales tax, property tax through rent.

Other estimates show $50 BILLION paid for the services of the illegals. CA alone is $9 BILLION! In addition they are destroying our health care system and our schools.

BTW, if the Senate's pile of crap passes, the situation will only get worse! We will then get to pay welfare payments! They STILL won't pay income taxes due to their low income and they would probably get a tax credit that means free money from the taxpayer!

My grand father built the house I live in with his bare hands back in the 40's. He had no illegal labor to help him. I recently inherited the house from my father. I had left this area for over 40 years. I am shocked at how far down this town has sunk. All the stores cater to hispanics. All the signs are in Spanish. I have to drive several miles out of my way to find a decent grocery store. There is no going out after dark. Gangs in the park. I have had to wash graffitti off my front fence several times. My brothers car was set on fire. Gee, do you think they want us out? Well guess what? I'm not moving.

Well honestly, I think it is 50/50. The reason why I say this is because, they come here and do the work that us americans refuse to do, especially for the little pay! And without them it would hurt us, and for the ones that come over here and do things that aren't right then yes it hurts us as well. However I think if they come here to work and have a better life then they should be able to, and that maybe there employers can help by getting them worki visa's. But, I have to agree, with some. I've notice that when some of them move into an area that at one time use to be really nice, they do have the tendency to drag down hill and make it look dirty.

Dude, it's not illegal immigrants bringing down your house price. It's racist whites who don't want to live near them. Arizona has a lot of rednecks and they just don't like Mexicans. That's why I would never buy an investment home in AZ. Too many racists there and they are not willing to pay anything to live near Mexicans. California probably has the most illegal immigrants than any other state in the Union; yet, our house prices are booming. Why? Because we don't have as many racist bigots as AZ does........

I am in the Real Estate business, and I have NEVER heard such thing from an appraiser, an agent, a title company, or most important, a lender. So I dont know who did this appraisal, but its clear that he/she does not read/watch the news.

YOU RACIST PIG!!!!!! JUST KIDDING, I'm with you all the way. We have a town in WI. that has two factories. They used to have citizens of different races work there and they treated you rough but you got paid decent and understood that loyalty to the companies would be rewarded. There was always a sense that it was our town, everyone could go to any bar, the annual summer fest was looked forward to by everyone. People rented appartments so as to be close to work.
Now the nicest houses are built on the edge of town in the new subdivision. The center of town has become little Mexico. The rumor is that when the Mayor wanted to enforce a policy of only using street signs in English to save the money it would cost to have them bi-lingual the biggest company stepped in.
Rumor claims that the President of the biggest company told the city council members who worked in his factory that they had better get control of the mayor if they wanted to ensure their own job security.
I worked there for two months and quit after an argument with a white supervisor. I told him that I did not expect to be yelled at and called names when I had to ask my trainer for directions as what we did changed daily and I had moved to that area in the factory recently after a position came open there. He told me that if I wanted to be treated respectfully I was in the wrong place. He told me that the next person to jump the border would be happy to take my place, so shut up or quit.
Property values are down, pride is down, no one feels comfortable, people are afraid to go to the summer fest, and many people are afraid to go to that town at all.
