Why don't they deport the illegals back to their own country and help them rebuild their own country with their own money? Why should the President and Senate have the right to tax the citizens of the USA for people we are not responsible for? Doesn't the Senate realize that if they take away the money and jobs from the taxpayers, that they won't have an income either? Who will be left to pay for our government?

Amnesty means never having immigration enforcement!

It is the usual round and round situation. If we send the illegals back, people such as the Clintons will claim we are discriminating against the illegals or that we are racists. Part of the problem (a large part of it) is that the press (media) will not tell "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" (something forgotten by moderns).
People also claim that the illegals do jobs that Americans are unwilling to do. Absolutely false. I have a neighbor who pumps septic tanks, for crying out loud! He is NOT an illegal. What they mean to say is that corporations can hire the illegals at below Federal wage requirements (the illegals won't complain!) to maximize the bottom line.
Of course, the President of Mexico doesn't want them down there; he is mixed up and misguided, thinking that the illegals will send money back home and increase their nations income. Also false. The illegals leaving their home nations decrease their GNP (who else do ALL governments try so hard to INCREASE population? It's so the future generations can pay for what the present generations spend!)
Yes, conceivably, the Senate, the Representatives, the Supreme Court and the President could run out of money, but all the rest of us would stave to death before that happens.

Actually, though our government won't admit it, there are some officials in Mexico who do not believe that the exodus is good for Mexico.

As Mexico's ambassador to Washington warns, even the "rosiest, peachiest" reform in the US won't end the flow of poor migrants. Reform must also take place in Mexico.

Calderon is apparently attempting to tackle the drug cartels.
These violent syndicates, which mainly transport drugs into the US, have exploded in the past decade. They've escalated crime and political corruption, hindering creation of well-paying jobs for would-be migrants. At election time, they provide cash for many campaigns.
This domestic war, which resembles the Iraq war in tactics and killing rates, was Mr. Calderón's opening gambit for wholesale reform. It is widely popular but faces an uncertain future.

How can the US help? For one, effective border enforcement would keep more Mexicans in Mexico where they can contribute to the economy. The US can also better crack down on the flow of arms to Mexico's cartels and the flow of drugs into the US.

The US Congress should see its immigration reform in the larger picture of Mexico's needs. The ultimate solution truly lies south of the border.

Instead of looking to Mexico and helping to find solutions there, our governments seems more bent on worsening the situation, at our expense and in the long-run, theirs.

Good points!!! I guess their reasoning is that somewhere down the proverbial road, that the 20 million illegals will be legal enough to vote and whoa! pay taxes. Sadly, they are forgetting about the laws that give "immigrants" tax breaks on buying houses and owning businesses (5 yrs is it?).

PS If aztlan people aren't immigrants, then they shouldn't qualify for anything under the IMMIGRATION bill !!!! HAHAHAHAHA

i totally agree with you. it seems like the president and congress care more about the illegals then the legal usa citizens. we should all call our congress reps and tell them how we fell!! call, write, fax.. its the only way to make them realize what the majority of this country wants

Excellent question.

Our government does not want to send Mexicans back home or they would. They was cheap labor for business.

Makes me sick.

They don't care about the people anymore. Don't vote for anyone who supports this amnesty bill. They will be sorry when then lose their office.

1 if they deport them, it will come out of you
2. they won;t deport them , they have been saying that forever.
3. yes, they are concerned, that's why they want this bill to pass.
4. don;t you have to pay taxes no matter what? (unless you don't work or don't recieve money) you can't just choose not to pay taxes because you don't like what they are doing.
