Immigration - June 2007

We were stronger...we were more civilized...we were more educated...we fought with the more sophisticated weapons...we prevailed over the Natives so we deserve to be here. We won that right. Right? Those who tire of hearing of what our ancestors did to the Natives because it was "so long ago" (a few hundred years) are quick to point out that the Natives had also conquered peoples to live here (thousands of years ago.) So why is everyone so up in arms about the Hispanics coming? Maybe it's their turn to be here. Despite our greatest man-made laws, walls or border patrol the Hispanics keep coming. It won't matter what we do because God remembers what we did. We need to learn to accept the new immigrants & live in peace just as the Natives had to do with us. Those Natives who chose not to do so DIED for that decision. If you want things to change, change yourself. Change your heart. We claim "survival of the fittest" as our right to be here. Maybe we aren't the fittest anymore.

If you don't want to learn english, fine, but then we shouldn't have to translate everything into other languages for them if they don't want to take the time to learn the national language for the country that they reside in. It is completely IGNORANT to believe that if I were to move to another country that I should EXPECT them to teach me, to have driving test, as well as anything else in MY homeland language. This is crazy, what the heck is wrong with people. You don't go to another country and expect them to cater to you, just boggles my mind?

I'm from Canada

My aunt just re-located to Canada from the United States, San Francisco. She has already given in her greencard to be renewed and I think it has been approved already but I need to make an appointment to pick it up. She's telling me I can somehow go to a website and fill out a form for an appointment to pick up her greencard but I am unable to find it. Does anybody know which website I can go to in order to book an appointment to pick up her greencard.

Thanks a bunch

Anytime that the immigration debate is brought up, if you are against amnesty...you are automatically labeled as a racist.

Why?

Is that all that they have?

Sad isn't it.

I know that most of the ads in my newspaper are English. But there is one that sticks out from the rst. It is for a in home care service. It seems that every other day they change from English one day to Spanish the next.

my father says they do it becuase my area has a lot of illegals here and to appeal to them. is he right? Does this mean one day I'll be reading the paper and will the same ad in both English and Spanish in the same paper for exact same business? How bad of a problem is this in the bigger cities of our nation? Or are people not noticing it becuase it's subtle?

Seems like in the areas where the illegals are concentrated (dug in) there are three things that draw them: 1) Businesses are so infiltrated with them already they don't have a choice but to hire more as they are recomended by the "company family" 2) Those established here are eager to take more in if they have a square foot to stash them and an extra bean to throw in the pot because that adds to the strength of their existance (vote in some cases) 3) speaking of vote, in those heavy concentrated areas of illegals where the aforementioned conditions exist if the local government moves to keep from going bankrupt because of such a heavy freeload situation they just vote them out. In summary; mankind has had to contend with inside corruption ever since Cane slew Able and the concept of divide and conquer has been around about as long. We need to come to an agreement as soon as possible and everyone get behind the program. Success depends on the borders being secured first.

Arizona news today:

Undocumented immigrant suspected in deadly crash

10:17 PM Mountain Standard Time on Wednesday, June 20, 2007

By Scott McGee / 3TV reporter

It was family business that brought Nanuma Lavulavu to the intersection Tuesday night, having just dropped off her daughter at work.

But that's when an undercover sheriff's deputy says he spotted Guadalupe Bojorquez throwing beer cans out of his car window.

Bojorquez is accused of ramming the deputy’s car repeatedly before coming to the intersection that Lavulavu was driving home.

Lavulavu’s leg was severed in the accident, but she died Wednesday morning.

The sheriff says Bojorquez is an illegal immigrant who was deported five times.

This is why we need to say no to amnesty!

This man was deported 5 times and now this American women is dead

"The sheriff's office alleges that Perez has entered the United States illegally at least five times. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said that his deputies trained under Immigration and Customs Enforcement uncovered those entries – the fourth of which was in 2002, and all of which are believed to have occurred in Arizona – during their investigation of the suspect. "

This time he killed someone.
If he wasn't here illegally, this woman would be home with her family. Oh well, I guess it's just collateral damage to the Pros isn't it?
Another killer the Pro-illegals want in OUR Country.
Let's hear it for the Pros...

Your thoughts?

This is my take on the anti-immigration people: There are certain characteristics that mark an individual that is fervently anti-immigrant (they will insist 'anti-illegal'). That is: fear, intolerance, worry, and selfishness. I say that because only such an individual would fret about some impending doom as a result of letting people come here undocumented (which they have been doing for more than a century) to work for low wages in jobs that are hard to fill. They have to be so afraid that a small group of mostly illiterate, uneducated people will somehow be able to tip the balance of power and turn this country into a third world crackhouse (which, by the way, is a very arrogant and ignorant claim). Only a person that was secure in themselves and did not have a "what's in it for me?" attitude could accept people from other countries with an open heart and an open mind - just like it reads on the Statue of the Liberty. Ask yourself, what would Martin Luther King or Ghandi say?
