We were stronger...we were more civilized...we were more educated...we fought with the more sophisticated weapons...we prevailed over the Natives so we deserve to be here. We won that right. Right? Those who tire of hearing of what our ancestors did to the Natives because it was "so long ago" (a few hundred years) are quick to point out that the Natives had also conquered peoples to live here (thousands of years ago.) So why is everyone so up in arms about the Hispanics coming? Maybe it's their turn to be here. Despite our greatest man-made laws, walls or border patrol the Hispanics keep coming. It won't matter what we do because God remembers what we did. We need to learn to accept the new immigrants & live in peace just as the Natives had to do with us. Those Natives who chose not to do so DIED for that decision. If you want things to change, change yourself. Change your heart. We claim "survival of the fittest" as our right to be here. Maybe we aren't the fittest anymore.

So maybe now God is allowing US to be defeated because we've become too proud & self-sufficient. We are kicking God out of "our" country....out of the schools, out of the courtrooms, taking His name off of our money. Yes, God does allow cultures & peoples to be defeated. Do you think it's coincidence that idol worshipping cultures that practiced human sacrifice were annihilated? The Bible is clear that the children pay for the sins of their Fathers. We know what our fore-fathers did. How can we be so proud as to think we got away with it?

Survival of the Fittest wasn't what stole the Indians lands....it was Manifest Destiny.....

And, you don't know what you are talking about. What your ancestors did to the natives of this land - IS STILL GOING ON or haven't you been keeping up.

The U.S. made over 300 treaties with the people of this land - and broke everyone of them. The last of the Indian wars were in th 1880's and 1900....my grandfather and grandmother and their parents were alive then...my grandfather died when I was 35, great grandfather died when I was 23....so don't tell me about how long ago it was.

They lost their land thanks to the policy of genocide perpetrated against our people by the land and gold hungry invaders.

Assuming that survival of the fittest was the reason, one has to remember that the Native Americans fought back against the Europeans. It wasn't as if they said, "Oh, the white men are more powerful and they have the best technology. Okay, they can force us to live on reservations. We'll get back at them in a hundred years with casinos and civil rights laws anyway.". Survival of the fittest is a struggle. One must overcome the obstacles. If one doesn't, then that person isn't the fittest.

Besides, what is better, live in submission and possible misery, or make the people that think they are the best fight for every inch and privilege? Now, a completely hypothetical, and possibly ludicrous situation that can ring true in a metaphorical sense: Aliens come to Earth, and they wish to make us their slaves. Or, not even slaves. Just that we humans cannot "own" the Earth as we have done for thousands of years. Would you sit back and just say, "Okay, they're the fittest. It's their turn."? For the sake of humanity, I hope not.

This is deep rooted, and tricky. If you remove it from the education of our children then black people will be offended because it's like pretending the atrocities didn't happan at all. And I agree with that. It's the same reason we learn about WWI and WWII - so that we can (hopefully) learn from those mistakes. World history is full of hate and war and violence. Look at the Old Testament, look at any religion or civilization. Removing slavery from education would be a dangerous first step - because if that isn't worth remembering, why bother learning about the Inquisition? People weren't slaves then, they were simply tortured and killed for believing in a different way. That's even more awful than slavery! Removing all the ugliness of our past would certainly feel better. But I think it's just a band-aid solution - it certainly wouldn't remove hate or violence from our present times. The best we can do is teach our children right from wrong, and that people are people no matter what their beliefs or skin color. That would be far more positive than simply removing the violence of our history from education. Knowing where we were helps us move forward, and maybe someday we won't have more violence to add to history classes.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

First, the land here was settled by men carrying white man's burden; educate and convert the heathens and never mind the method. The natives were just as civilized and religious and their civilization was just as sophisticated as ours but it was DIFFERENT and therefore, savage.

The natives that died for the decision would have died anyway because we superior whites were practicing GENOCIDE!!!!! Probably would have gotten them all but we didn't have enough smallpox-laced blankets to give them. You better beleive God is going to remember that.

So, using your logic, it is perfectly alright for the influx of Mesoamericans to kill everybody in this country because they want to live here.

You go first. I'll catch up.

This isnt just about the USA really. Much of the world is dependant on the economy of the USA.

And as to your comment about who is the fittest.... take a look at the people that come here, the economy of mexico, the government of mexico etc... do you really think that they are teh fittest?

I partially agree with some of the things you say but there is too much hate on this forum to discuss a topic like this. For example the Aztecas could have defeated the spaniards. Then taken their ships to Spain and conquered Spain. Apparently God chose them to be defeated. Same thing with the American Indians.

Whaaaat? Maybe it's their turn to be here?

Ok, here is the scenario.

Let's just roll over let anyone that wants to be her just walk across a boarder and say "It's mine. I deserve to be here, so **** you!"

Then what should we do with you? Send you back to your ancestral country of origin? It's their turn to be here, right?

History is HISTORY! This is about here and now. We need to learn from history, we don't need to indulge in historical guilt trips.

You didn't do anything to the Native Americans. You didn't do anything to the Mexicans. Why do you feel like they deserve the land your ancestors bled for and developed and nourished into this great nation?

Mexicans need to get some guts and take care of their own problems. We took care of our own problems by developing this land, and kicking out our imperial rulers, and fostering democracy throughout the rest of the world.

The Mexican people have a strong history of independence, and they need to find that again and get rid of the corruption in their own country. They have one of the best land masses in the world for economic growth. They have the largest modern city in the world. Why can't they fix their social/political/economic problems on their own turf?

It's not like America is out to conquer Mexico. We are not imperialists. We have enough problems in this country without adding the problems of another country in the mix. Then we have to deal with militant illegal immigrants who want to make demands in OUR country?

Are you kidding me?

We really aren't fit to hold the land any more if we are ready to sell our children's inheritance for a few cents off on the price of vegetables.

It's called WAR ON THE HOMEFRONT ... and we will see just who is the fittest ... and lemme tell you, it isn't going to be any imaginary bloodline of morons. Speaking of, why do the bumbling fools who claim aztlan act like miscreants? From reading history, I've found that the Aztec people weren't assholes. Why hasn't THAT passed through the non-existent bloodline?
