Anytime that the immigration debate is brought up, if you are against amnesty...you are automatically labeled as a racist.

NO, it is not sad! What is you Americans problem who don't want to let others have a good life! Illegal immigrants came here just to have a house and good food. Probably 99% of them are good people. Many American are lazy, so why not let others take the job! I mean Americans should be working in stores, office, etc. Don't you see that illegal immigrant work for less money? WHY? Cause they want to have good food and a house. So don't you understand their situation so try to be a little kind to them instead of being stubborn. I always thought Americans were good people, but I guess not with illegal immigrant! But I guess America has done a lot of unhuman thing don't you mind that! This people have done nothing so WHY ARE YOU AGAINST THEM?

.Gee... Haven't you heard we are suppose to create new high paying jobs for ourselves and give the ones we don't want to people who want amnesty! I cannot believe a US Congressman or maybe it was a Senator actually said that on a documentary I caught the tail end of! With leadership like that I can see why some folks get down right mixed up.

When you think about it, it IS all they have. Until they can get that word "illegal" removed from the people that would benefit from this amnesty, there is no course they can follow to present a logical argument.

Ya know, sometimes people just happen to be FOR Americans and not necessarrily against other people from other countries. I'm sure if we went to their countrys (in droves) and took their jobs; they would feel the same.

Well, its not fair, but I have to say that many of the anti-amnesty arguments I've heard us racist language and act like anyone who speaks Spanish is here illegally.
Plus, it's just not realistic to deport everyone here illegally. We would literally being doing nothing else as far as law enforcement goes. The problem is too big to fix that way.
I know that everyone likes to blame liberals for this, but big business has been a larger obstacle. They like cheap labor. They oppose efforts to punish employers to hire illegal immigrants. If people couldn't get jobs they wouldn't come for the most part and we'd have a much small enforcement problem.
There are almost no federal benefits that illegal immigrants are eligible for. They are not medicaid eligible and they can't get TANF or food stamps. That is not to say its without cost, but really no one is coming illegally for the welfare, its for the jobs.
