"The sheriff's office alleges that Perez has entered the United States illegally at least five times. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said that his deputies trained under Immigration and Customs Enforcement uncovered those entries – the fourth of which was in 2002, and all of which are believed to have occurred in Arizona – during their investigation of the suspect. 5 Times?
This time he killed someone.
If he wasn't here illegally, this woman would be home with her family. Oh well, I guess it's just collateral damage to the Pros isn't it?
Another killer the Pro-illegals want in OUR Country.
Let's hear it for the Pros...

Your thoughts?

AngelaR. Under this bill that you blindly support, this guy would have been granted amnesty along with gangbangers and other criminals. We don't need to import more criminals. We need to DEport them
Btw, it's "you're", not "Your".
You were calling me...what?

Amazon Princess: They are also trying to sell this Z-Visa amnesty as a temporary Visa. The truth is that it can be renewed indefinitely, and yes I gave you a thumbs up...lol. Thanks for the research.

See my comment to Angela R. Do you have anything to add to the subject matter I posted the question about?
I don't think we've met. I'm a Deputy Sheriff in the Southwest. I think that pretty well sums up my feelings about criminals in general. I deal with illegal criminals every shift I work.

I got your back JUNIOR, some loop holes in the amnesty bill (there are actualy 20);

Loophole 5 – Completion of Background Checks Not Required For Probationary Legal Status:

Legal status must be granted to illegal aliens 24 hours after they file an application, even if the aliens have not yet “passed all appropriate background checks.” (Last year’s bill gave DHS 90 days to check an alien’s background before any status was granted). No legal status should be given to any illegal alien until all appropriate background checks are complete. [See pp. 290].

Loophole 6 – Some Child Molesters Are Still Eligible:

Some aggravated felons – those who have sexually abused a minor – are eligible for amnesty. A child molester who committed the crime before the bill is enacted is not barred from getting amnesty if their conviction document omitted the age of the victim. The bill corrects this loophole for future child molesters, but does not close the loophole for current or past convictions. [See p. 47: 30-33, & p. 48: 1-2]

Loophole 7 – Terrorism Connections Allowed, Good Moral Character Not Required:

Illegal aliens with terrorism connections are not barred from getting amnesty. An illegal alien seeking most immigration benefits must show “good moral character.” Last year’s bill specifically barred aliens with terrorism connections from having “good moral character” and being eligible for amnesty. This year’s bill does neither. Additionally, bill drafters ignored the Administration’s request that changes be made to the asylum, cancellation of removal, and withholding of removal statutes in order to prevent aliens with terrorist connections from receiving relief. [Compare §204 in S. 2611 from the 109th Congress with missing §204 on p. 48 of S.A. 1150, & see missing subsection (5) on p. 287 of S.A. 1150].

Loophole 8 – Gang Members Are Eligible:

Instead of ensuring that members of violent gangs such as MS 13 are deported after coming out of the shadows to apply for amnesty, the bill will allow violent gang members to get amnesty as long as they “renounce” their gang membership on their application. [See p. 289: 34-36].

Had to include these for fun;

Loophole 10 – Learning English Not Required For A Decade:

Illegal aliens are not required to demonstrate any proficiency in English for more than a decade after they are granted amnesty. Learning English is not required for an illegal alien to receive probationary benefits, the first 4-year Z visa, or the second 4-year Z visa. The first Z visa renewal (the second 4-year Z visa) requires only that the alien demonstrate an “attempt” to learn English by being “on a waiting list for English classes.” Passing a basic English test is required only for a second Z visa renewal (the third 4-year Z visa), and even then the alien only has to pass the test “prior to the expiration of the second extension of Z status” (12 years down the road). [See pp. 295-296].

Loophole 11 – Earned Income Tax Credit Will Cost Taxpayers Billions In Just 10 Years:

Current illegal aliens and new guest workers will be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit, a refundable tax credit designed to encourage American citizens and legal permanent residents to work. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that this loophole will cost the U.S. taxpayer up to $20 billion dollars in just the first 10 years after the bill’s enactment. To be consistent with the intent of the 1996 welfare reforms – which limited new immigrants from receiving public benefits until they had been legal permanent residents for five years – the bill should withhold EITC eligibility from amnestied aliens until they become legal permanent residents. Closing this loophole will save the taxpayers billions of dollars. [See p. 293 after S.A. 1190 was adopted, p. 307, p. 315, §606. All that is required for EITC eligibility is a social security number and resident alien status. Nothing in the bill’s tax provisions limit EITC eligibility. The issuance of social security numbers to aliens as soon as they apply for amnesty will ensure they are able to qualify for the EITC.]

Thank you Angela R have a nice day!

Oh come on, I deserve more than 1 thumbs up (maybe a best answer, lol)! It took a lot to cut and paste this plus I did the research that the pro illegals don't do! lol

Thank you for voting yes to NO amnesty!

**HEY JIMMY- Does this help?

According to a special report by The Heritage Foundation, the immigration bill will rack up $2.4 trillion in total net governmental costs of all amnesty recipients during their expected 18 years in retirement. Because the majority of immigrants are high school dropouts, it is unlikely they can compensate for the governmental benefits provided them. In fact, immigrant households headed by those without high school diplomas, receive more than three dollars in benefits for every dollar paid in taxes.

Broken down, the immigration bill will cost legal, taxpaying Americans an average of $30,160 per immigrant family (headed by those without high school diplomas) to house, health, feed, educate, protect, and transport. There are at least 9.3 million adults that benefit from the bill. Bill sponsors and supporters refuse to label it “amnesty,” but those at the press conference argued that’s exactly what it is.

In addition to the immediate benefits received by those illegal immigrants who crossed the border any time prior to January 2007, they can also earn eligibility to welfare, social security and Medicare after 10 years. These programs risk funding losses already, so piling millions more onto the feeding tube only raises taxes and deprives legal citizens their due.

“This is a long-term commitment that vests rights…that can’t be retracted,” said Bilbray. “You won’t be able to build a fence high enough if you give the amnesty in this bill.”

**Junior my hands are getting tired from all this research (sighs) lol.

I don't know how these people who support illegals can live with themselves.

Since when is the American dream picking fruit, cleaning toilets or cutting grass? It's cheap labor and that is why the Big Wigs want them around.

Welfare abuse through anchor babies
Identity Theft
Fake Drivers Licenses
Fake Social Security
Drug Dealers
Gang Members
Deportation Costs
Accidents caused by Uninsured Illegals - Some that kill
Higher Insurance rates due to those accidents they cause
Burglary when they can't find work
Lowered property value
Heavy burden on our school systems
The cost of revenue investigation and audits due to ID theft

And worst of all - our tax dollars pay their welfare and they have never paid one dime of income taxes. The illegals are rewarded with amnesty for living here and never paying taxes while our Government goes after a 50 year old American couple in New Hampshire for not paying taxes.

This is crazy world!

Say no to Amnesty - or we will lose our Nation

My whole point is that if they'll do one illegal thing what's to say they won't do many, many more? Just how many Perez types do we have here now? Yes, there are bad legal citizens and we deal with them but why should we have to deal even with the threat of more mad illegals? No amnesty ever, deport all illegals with a criminal record first, and then one by one deport the rest of the illegal population. I agree with the Scott Anthony Davis, he lists so many of the everyday issues we face from illegals. Anyone who can support these people are in cahoots with the devils.

This is the part that disturbs me the most. There very well may be alot of illegals who are people who might deserve a shot here......unfortunatly....stories like this are too prominent and are a huge reason why people aren't willing to go with a blanket amnesty. There are some evil and corrupt people here doing serious damage to our citizens, towns etc. They need to go and be kept out. Unfortunatly.....there seems to be this cry to just accept them ALL no questions asked. While they play border-jumping games destroying peoples lives with no reprocussions. There just seems to be this mental block in facing the fact that ALL their people aren't all good people. They have some serious slime balls ....just like in every group. They aren't citizens so they aren't our headache. I wish there was a deportation for our serious criminals to somewhere else. Unfortunatly....we can't do that. But it doesn't help when we do what we can and still they take to the streets for these loosers and then nothing to stop them from crossing the border over and over....to do it again and again.

I see the point of this person killed somone but the thing is Americans do it to other Americans all the time! A lot of terriost are from our own country. The only reason this is being talked about so much is because people are trying to find more excuses to send Immigrants home. But watch the news and see there` are alot of good people who re immigraints and deserve a chance. This morning on CNN there wasa lady fro Iraq who had left the country fourteen years ago got refuge in Germany and after 8 years moved to the Us to try to support her 2 kids and she is being deported and is a good person.Youall say u get conditions are bad in other countries but that the people can fix it themselves and u know what`they can't.Stop looking at immigrants as statistics and instead look at them as real people. And if your going to look at the pros of them leaving and what it would mean for our country also look at the cons.We don't have the money to round up and sort out these people in order to deport them it would put our country in debt,it would cost billions of tax payers $.Plus who is going to take the jobs that the immigraints leave.Americans don't want them!Untill people fill these jobs prices will skyrocket putting not only the country in debt but its people. Then once the jobs are filled taxes wil still be super high in order to pay for our debt as a country.Do I love the idea of them staying not really but you have to look at them as people trying to live in horrible conditions instead of numbers and statistics because behind every number is a prson who has a life and a story.Anyways u just need to get over this k.I mean this could have happened to anybody at any time by any person.Stop making a fuss it's over and done with.So let it go.

so you don't care if he kills Mexican women from Mexico, as long as it's not an AMerican woman? You guys need to get a life, this is not preventable, he would have killed anyways with that mindset he had. All that matters is that a human being died because of another human. he should be jailed for life.

Since you seem to think you have all of the answers, what do you want to do about American murders and gang bangers? You also need to look at the bigger picture of the total number of estimated illegals in the U.S. You're forming a prejudice based off of a stereotype that is being promoted by the news and other Americans that have never known a Latino not born in the U.S. It's clear that your mind is closed and that your opinions are being formed by other bias sources, such as the news. Your case against "pro-illegals" is terrible due to your lack of fact based opinions and lack of logical thought on how illegals will affect the U.S. as a whole and not talking about your own solutions with affects on economics, government, and social interaction in general. I feel sorry that you lack the ability to think for yourself and that you form your opinions based off of what other people tell you.

Regardless, generalizations are being made. Most illegal immigrants come here to make their lives better. In Mexico, in order to get a decent paying job, they have to go an English school so they can learn english. Also, they have to pay for a mediocre education starting from elementary school all the way to high school at private schools. The public schools there, if there are any, are a joke. Many Mexicans can't afford to pay for all of that schooling and then still pay for english school. Then on top of that, they have to buy a large majority of their food fresh. For example, they have to buy tortillas fresh every day; they can't just buy tortillas and stick 8-10 of them in the fridge. It is easy to see that many of them actually do come here to live a better life. However, I will admit that in some cases, although rare in comparison to the overall poulation of estimated illegals, they do cause harm to themselves and those around them by committing murder or D.U.I. Having said that, these are isolated cases that are blown out of proportion by the news.

No I don't agree w/ the "amnesty" bill blindly. Based off of my experience w/ mexicans and their culture I feel that many do deserve to have the right to try to find a better life in the U.S. Also, although the bill will have short falls, the U.S. government will at least have a better estimate of how many people have immigrated to the U.S. as well as their identities. Then, should one of them committ a crime, they'll be easier to find because there will be some sort of trail that leads back to them instead of another person. Although I'm sure I already know your answer to the following question but I feel compelled to ask, to what length would you go to help give your kids a better life? You should know better than anyone that deporting them would do no good if they are able to slip passed border security. I'm sorry for not stating this previously but I do believe that man should be forced spend the rest of his life in prison without parol.

Amazon Princess, I commend you for actually doing research. However, unless they are being paid under the table, they still pay taxes through their paychecks. Also, the money goes back into circulation when they spend it. Many of them live in meagre accomodations and need some form of government help do to low wages. There is no way to put so many people through the court system for illegaly immigrating to the U.S. so you have to take what you can get. The only way for the U.S. government to get some good out of it is to at least have their real name, picture, and other identification.

I have enjoyed this debate and I'm more than willing to have more w/ the two of you in the future.

Yes the fact that low life scum bags like this example are coming into the country along with family feeding Pedro is a dirty little secret.
Then you have the flag burning, mask wearing La Raza rodents who want to destroy our culture.
The media owes it to Americans to start telling the truth about illegal immigration.
Thanks for posting this.
