rely on American citizens to pick strawberries and bananas because they would probably rot on the vine while paying some lazy, uneducated slob $ 20 an hour who hates me for being white and going to college.

Yes, in California we grow at least one third of the nations food crop, some crops 90%, like walnuts. Would people enjoy paying $35 a pound for walnuts? How about $35 for cherries? $35 a pound for peaches? $100 a pound for asparagus? thanks to the wonderful Mexican people, undocumented, we have reasonably priced and plentiful food in the US. (In my 57 years I did meet one Caucasian crop picker, vanishing breed here.)

Newsflash, crop owners don't pass on the savings to the consumers they just make their pockets fatter. So why don't we bring back the illegal sweatshops and employ under age children who will take a couple bucks an hour for hard labor. It'll cut down the prices on everything. Keeping illegals employed lowers the work standards. If that is your reasoning for keeping illegals around, then you're taking advantage of them. Illegals need to go home and come here legally.

This country was founded on freedom, diversity and immigration. I support immigration as long as they are legal and don't drain the Medicaid and welfare system or bring down education.
As for the "hate me for being white" we need to remember that everyone, regardless of race or gender, has different experiences, different privileges and opportunities. By calling them lazy and assuming that all of the illegal immigrants hate you for being white is a hypocritical statement.

Fancy farm you got there. What kind of bananas? Does Texas have a banana co-op? Growing strawberries on a vine? Hey, cowboy, you sound like you're all hat and no cows. Why does it have to be Mexican. Would Europeans, Africans, prisoners float your boat?

I am pro-illegal and I am a Mexican-American that grew up in south Texas.I only hate whites that think they are better than a brown skin human being and treat them like crap. You are right about what you say.Other Mexican-Americans resent the fact I got educated and that I retired with a pension at the age of 52. But guess what I do not think I am better than a fruit picker.I thank God for what I gotten. I could have easily been a picker.Other people resent or probably hate me because I am married to a white woman.

You are part of the problem. Now because of practices of people LIKE YOU, teens wont have a chance at their first jobs, and people who are trying to make ends meet wont have a chance to feed their kids.

Sounds to me that the only uneducated slob is you who is trying to do things on the cheap and get out of paying taxes. Sounds like the only one who hates anyone is you. Also sounds as if you don't respect your employees very much either.
