Then this way they wouldn't be able to overstay their visas and become the illegal aliens that so many of them are today.

Since, so many of the anti-American crowd points out that many of the illegal aliens just had overstayed their visas. It would be at least a START at dealing with the problem.

Actually, the problem is they do. The states normally find people that are not paying child support because the state has the persons social security number and the person has a job that is not paying under the table. When the job reports earnings, the state now knows where that person works.

Illegal aliens are normally working under the table or using a stolen social security number.

Although that system is far from foolproof, it would be a good start. The biggest problem with illegal immigrants lies in the fact that they willingly break the law and I don't think we want lawbreakers to infiltrate our country. We also have no screening proceedures on those illegal immigrants. That is why so much crime is committed by those people. Recently we had over 15000 contacts reported to ICE by local authorities and ICE acted on just over 300 (2%.) They actually deported way less than that. This is not "security."
We have adequate laws to protect us. What we need is ENFORCEMENT.

you are too naive but i understand ur concerns
if the American govt wants not even a single human would able enter illegaly to this country such is a power of this country
but illegal immigration helps the govt, they get cheap labor from foriegn countries and lot of them pay taxes
so this makes an extra revenue source for the govt

The goverment makes millions off illegals every year. They say they want to stop immigration but their interest is conflicted.

If the government truly wanted to stop it, they would make it illegal for them to purchase new houses, new cars, get cell phone plans, cable and internet service. But no, as long as they have a tax number, the government is happy to profit from them.

They can find one cow with mad cow disease but they can't find 50 illegals standing in front of Home Depot.

What the government has a desire to do, it will accomplish.

The government of course could do this but doesn't want to. they cater to employers who want cheap illegal labor and to the Hispanic vote.
