To rephrase an earlier question, are you opposed to current amnesty provisions of the Senate immigration bill?

If so how do you propose to bring pressure on the Democrat Senate and the President to correct the situation? Will you actively work to defeat those Senators who are willfully ignoring a populace opposed to AMNESTY by any name? This is a critical issue to our continued national soverneighty.

The current amnesty bill deserved to be killed. Immigration laws need to be enforced. The border fence needs to be built and as long as ICE continues doing its job of nailing illegals for prosecution and deportation, then there is no need for any politician to pander to the mexican populace for votes.

Adamantly opposed. I have faxed letters, written letters and made phone calls. I don't know if it's done any good though. Our elites seem to think they know better than the avg. Joe, but the fact is, in a republic, it's supposed to be the avg. Joe that has the power.

I am opposed to any bill that gives a "path to citizenship" to the majority of illegal in the US. I will not compromise with that principle. I am willing to except a bill that gives amnesty to a limited number of illegals, particularly young ones who were brought to this country by their parents. Also, since we need agricultural workers, I would accept amnesty given to those who can prove that they have worked in the agricultural field for the last two years.

We have no idea how many illegals are in this country. I have heard a low of 12 million and a high of over 30 million! Most of them are from Mexico, and it would be insane to grant them citizenship when they believe that the southwestern states belong to them. We cannot allow any US territory to be colonized by Mexico or any other country. That is what is happening now, my friend. Mexico is colonizing the southwest US.

Mexican cross the border illegally because there is a false hope that life will be better in the US and owning more is better, NOT!

Jobs are lost in the US because we want to buy goods at a cheaper price. So manufacturers move their operations South of the border to provide cheaper products. But... the price isn't cheaper, their profit is bigger.

Try going without... hold off purchases... see if you really, really needed it.

And... vote for politicians who's platforms are most in line with your own convictions.

1. CLOSE THE BORDER!!! If the Chinese can build a wall (Great Wall of China) in ancient times then I think we can build one today.
2. Round up the illegal aliens and DEPORT them. (OK, may not be "Simple", but is obtainable for large majority).
3. Speed up the Naturalization process to get legal/documented immigrants into the country if we need them.

Yes I will do everything in my power to ensure that this congress that supports ANY part of amnesty will be turned over in the next election. I don't know what kind of game they are playing, but I do know that American citizens are pissed off quite a bit. No politician in their right mind should ever push us to that point. What we elect, we can unelect.

Both Georgia senators backed the immigration reform bill until Georgians got on their cases, big time. They returned to Georgia to sell the bill and were literally booed into embarassment for their stances on the bill. I personally emailed both of them as did many Georgians, and they changed their votes. Pressure works. Use it.

amnesty is a euphamistic word used to water down the fact that they are talking about forgiving and even rewarding millions of people for breaking the laws of our country. How can anyone assume that illegal criminals will become good upright citizens by giving them a free pass to citizenship.

I will personally review all the cadidates on my ballot and I'll vote write-in before I'll vote for anyone who wants to give millions of criminals a get out of jail free card.
