I ask this because some people on here believe that churches should have their tax exempt status removed. Now, the churches make money off of what people donate mostly. The money the people donate was already taxed when the person received their paycheck. If they tax a church for the money they receive then the money is being taxed twice, is it not?

Which comes first for you...politics, religion, money, life or family?

In which order do place these in the lives of the average American that you observe today?

After the Robert Hawkins shooting rampage of Dec. 5, 2007, where 8 innocent people were killed and I believe 4 others wounded, are you going to think twice before going to the mall? If you have the gun licence to pack a firearm, will you now take it with you to the mall? Do you think it is advisable for us to get some kind of weapon, e.g. pepper spray, a tazer, a hand gun, before we go shopping at a mall? Do you think all malls should now have armed guards on duty?

What the hell is our crazy, mixed up society coming to?

Wouldn't it be better to support the Right to Arm Bears? I mean, think about it - the big, nasty white ones way up in the arctic would come down and put an end to all this global warming nonsense once and for all... Who's with me?

My sisters husband just told her he doesnt want to stay married with her when he returns from Iraq. (i think he found someone over there. Shes waited faithfully for him)

They have one kid

He says he will give her half the savings account which is like $30,000 total

But he wants to keep their child

What can she do?

He just reenlisted and pretty much wants to give her the shaft.
He says he wants a divorce when he comes back....

this will cut her out of her military benefits.
What can she do?
Or is she stuck to find that after waiting for a year, she has to try starting a new life in the city where he chooses because hes stationed there,
with no education or no job.

Can anyone help.

I told her dont give him the divorce.
Does she have to give him the divorce?

If she doesnt then his housing allowance and medical benefits will still be for the family.

Can someone help here.
Its sad because my sister was good to him.

My best friend wants to become a police "woman" but her fiance just got accused of something (don't know what he did yet) and got sent to jail upto the court date comes. Can she still become a cop if her husband to be goes to prison or jail? I heard somewhere that it's really tough to get into the police dept if you have family that has been to prison or have broken the law. Is this true?

Looks like most of the polls are swinging his way. With a month left he definitely has the momentum to win the nomination.

The charge: Theft by taking.

Never arrested, though it's on my background check.
The case was dismissed, if the store made me agree to restitution shouldn't they have tried to contact me to collect it?

What is it really like being a military wife? The recruiter is really not going to tell me the nitty gritty stuff or sometimes even the truth. What is healthcare system really like? Is it good or bad? What is the recreation and the supposed discounts like? are they actually good? What about the housing and other allowances such as travel you are going to get? Please i really want the truth before my fiance and i jump in.

when Clinton left office (as engineered by Newt Gingrich - the last man with a brain in Washington)?. It seemed to work fine. Can't we just put it back in place? Don't spew a bunch of stuff about liberals - that was conservative economics at work.

When my wife and I bought our home eleven years ago, we had the option to go for a teaser rate or an adjustable mortgage rate. We opted to bite the bullet, get a fixed rate and pay a higher monthly payment for the next 30 years (11 years on, it seems small!). We paid a bit more, but we made what we thought was a sound economic choice.

Now the President is bailing out those individuals who chose for the cheaper option and now find themselves in financial crisis. Who do you think will ultimately will pay for this $350 billion shortfall? Not the mortgage companies. It will be the American taxpayer. In other words, people like my wife and I will end up paying for the greedy and short-sighted financial stupidity of others.

I don't recall getting a bailout for the large loss on the value of our investments when the stock market crashed in 2000. Why should we pay for this?

I've had recieved jury summons twice for the past 2 years. The instructions say to call after 5pm the day before the duty date, I have and a automated voice says to call the following day btw 9am-1pm, for further instructions, and I do. Another automated recording says I have completed my jury duty for a year.

I'm just confused, am I not suppose to present in a court and actually serve as a juror??? Have you had the same experience?

By the way I'm in California. Thanks.

I lied at meps about two things

1. I got a speeding ticket out side of the county I live in so it didnt come out on the bacround check my recruiter did.

2. and I broke both of my elbows, one when i was in 1st grade the other while in 8th

the worst thing is both my recruiter and DAD told me to lie and i did which was a stupid mistake by me.

I was wondering if the investagator would find this out if so how should i come clean?

thanks for responding i really apprieciate it.
