I watch Bush on the news and I am Convinced that 1/2 this country voted for a man who is obviously at least mildly retarded! Only in America!

I would support free trade with ALL nations.I would bring all US troops home. I would make allies with any nation that wanted to be friends. If two of my allies went to war, I would stay neutral. And if any country ever attacked US soil I would proceed to nuke the hell out of that country with no warning and any country that came to it's defense. What do you think of these ideas?

I was wondering if I'm too old for this. I was in JROTC in Highschool (2 years), and in the Naval Reserve ( less than a year).

And what are the cons of going active duty with a GED? I scored 72 on ASVAB, and my recruiter told me that I'm somewhat smarter that people that graduated high school.

note: I dropped out of high school due to family issues.

and the same for liberals...under what circumstances would you vote for the leading Republican candidate in the Presidential Election.

All answers are welcome...but looking for the most thought out response...

Again...do as you wish.

I'm watching 'Dogfights' on the History Channel, and one of the Tuskegee Airmen goes after a P-51 that has German Air Force markings on it. The History Channel goes on to say that the Germans stole some P-51's so that they could infiltrate the Allied Air Force, but don't say how that was done.

Anyone know?

Hi

Our car's horn goes but my partner hasn't yet put the new button on (new wheel and button) so the wires are sort of hanging out but not long enough to hinder the driving.

He was fined today for a faulty horn!!! He tooted it for the cop but he just gave him the fine anyway - $75AU!!!

Is that possible? Or should we dispute it?

It may not be obvious now, but Romney is clearly the second place Republican right now.

He will win Iowa, New Hampshire, and maybe South Carolina the first 3 states. Once he does, he will be firmly in second and it will be clear that it will be either him or Giuliani.

So when Evangelicals realize this, are they going to vote for a guy who has similiar values to theirs but (in their opinion) is in a cult, or a guy who has doesn't agree with their views?

Rasmussan listed Huckabee as leading the other day. This surprises me, as I didn't expect that Republicans would go for a tax-increasing open borders supporting candidate. Nor did I think that they'd go for a candidate who is openly opposed to Evolution, as that would just make it too easy for the Democrats.

I'm aware that a Christian Right group declared that God had chosen Huckabee as their candidate recently after a sham poll following their debate a few months back. I'm also aware that there are alot of Evangelical Christians in the south. However, I didn't think that an Evangelical pastor would become a serious candidate.

How has this happened? Are the Christian Right people who are talking about starting a 3rd party if a "pro-family" candidate isn't nominated actually serious and not just bluffing?

If Huckabee is nominated, how big will the Democratic landslide be or does Huckabee actually have a chance to upset Hillary, Obama, or Edwards?

I manage the night shift at a commercial laundry. We have four washers that handle 150 lbs at a time and one handles 80 lbs at a time. For dryers, we have four that handle 170 lbs at a time and one that handles 95 lbs at a time.
We have no problem processing 3 tons of linens in an 8 hour shift. We mainly do sheets, towels, table cloths, etc.
We have four workers in production. This is hard work. I've done it as a fill-in. It will break your back and arms.
All four of these workers are Mexicans. All legal. All work for about $8.50 per hour 10pm-6am. We work six nights a week. Some nights all four are on, some nights only three. We do our best to avoid OT.
Business is off a little. We used to see 5,500-6,000 lbs per shift. Now it is more like 5,000-5,400 lbs. The boss says one worker has to go. Work is down by about 10%, but staff needs to be cut 25%. "They'll just have to work harder or we'll get someone who can" is his attitude.
This is my father. We are at odds over this.

I'm a Kucinich fan because I am far, extreme left.

Now with that said, as the primaries get closer, it is beginning to get under my skin at the false rhetoric about Hillary.

Examples,
Socialist - she isn't (Kucinich is and why I like him)

She should have left Bill - so what, if she were male who would care

She is calculating - what politician isn't

She panders - Bush didn't? He was paid by Bush Sr in 88 to find out how to win the evangelical vote. Give me a break.

It seems to me that because she is female, she is being held to a higher standard and it is making me sick at the women who are speaking out against her. Even Kucinich has defended her.

Hum... what else...

As the primaries get closer, I'm just starting to wonder if I should waste a vote on Kucinich and indirectly Obama wins.. Obama is a liar... knowingly letting ppl believe he voted for the war when he was not even in the Senate at the time.

NUCLEAR RESEARCH FOR THORIUM REACTORS WAS EXTENSIVELY NEEDED BY INDIA FROM THE LAST 60YEARS. HARDLY TWO INSTITUTIONS ARE THERE FOR RESEARCH ON NUCLEAR SCIENCE .INDIA"S PROGRESS DEPENDS ON ENERGY. ENERGY IS TO COME THROUGH NUCLEAR RESEARCH(THORIUM REACTORS).DUE TO SHORTAGE OF ENERGY,INFAMOUS NUCLEAR DEAL CAME IN TO EXISTANCE.WHEN NUCLEAR DEAL CAME IN TO DISPUTE/CRITIC,GOVT. GOT DELIVERED THE STATEMENT IN THE TRIBUNE DATED DECEMBER 5,2007, ON PAGE NO-2(JOBS AND CARRIERS) FROM ANIL KAKODKAR (NUCLEAR SCIENTISTS)CHAIRMAN OF ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION THAT INDIA NEEDS MORE NUKE PROFESSIONAL.THIS NEED IS TAKING PLACE FROM THE LAST 60YEARS. QUESTION IS WHY KAKODKAR GAVE THIS STATEMENT AT THE *** END OF HIS CARRIER? WHY THE EFFORTS WERE NOT MADE BY KAKODAR IN HIS EARLIER CARRIER FOR OPENING A NUMBER OF NUCLEAR ENGINEERING COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES FOR CREATING A COMPETITION IN RESEARCH .NO DOUBT, IF 40YEARS AGO SUCH MORE INSTITUTIONS HAD BEEN OPENED THERE WOULD HAD BEEN A TOUGH COMPETITION IN NUCLEAR RESEARCH. CAN WE SAY, KAKODKAR WANTED TO HAVE A MONOPLY IN NUCLEAR SECTOR? CAN WE SAY THAT VARIOUS INDIAN GOVERNMENTS HAVE NOT TAKEN ACTION IN TIME DELIBRATELY AND ALLOWED THE RICH NATIONS TOTAKE THE ADVANTAGE OF CREATED WEAKNNESS BY INDIAN GOVERNMENTS?

Hi I am thinking about contracting as a Corpsman, I did my physical on Wednesday and am going to pick a job next week. If I decide to go Corpsman what are the chances of going FMF in my first 4 years. I almost sure I'm going to have to pay my dues in a hospital before I can go to FMSS and then FMF. So if I do get a assigned to a hospital as my first duty station can I request to go FMSS while assigned to a hospital. Or is it possible to go FMSS and then FMF right out of A school. If so cool, but I really want to know is can I get reassigned during my first tour. Thank you
