Would more people be alive? Would Katrina victims actually be helped? Would gas prices be so high? Would Osama bin Laden still be alive? Would the national deficit be at record-breaking numbers?

I'm a far left Democrat... so far I joke I fell off the edge.

BUT it bothers me Obama talks of change while claiming he voted against the Iraqi war.

What am I talking about? I did a poll in Polls & Surveys just asking ppl if they believed Obama initially voted for the Iraqi war or not.

NOT ONE knew he did NOT vote... he was not in the Senate until 2005.

Tells me he is just the same with spin and lies as Bush...

be a larger obstacle to getting elected, than hilary being a woman or barack being black?

our country is sadly so devoutly religious and protestant that it seems religion is more important than gender or race.

Okay, so in Illinois, if you are at a party that gets busted, and you're high (on weed) but have no paraphanelia or marijuana on you, and aren't OBVIOUSLY high, can you get arrested or cited anyway?

Tom Tancredo (Colo) appears to be, i mean IS, the best canditate to save America from excessive and illegal immigration, so that it does not look like California, which has been dramatically transformed today.

But statistics show a low percentage (about 10 percent or less) for Tancredo, so voting for him could be 'wasting a vote'

Is it then better to vote for someone who is more likely to win (the most 'anti' of these main GOPs), with a slightly less strong anti-illegal immigration stance than Tancredo?

Which is better? Which is the smartest vote to reshape America and suppress illegal immigration?

These are just two of many controversial tenets of the Mormon religion:
"Mormon men can have multiple wives in heaven _ eternal polygamy," says one tenet, while another claims that "God the father had sex with Mary to conceive Jesus, who is the half brother of Lucifer."
How can Christians vote for him?

i heard that some illegal mexican immigrants claim to be "foreign nationals" if they are arrested. there is a potential issue in that this might require that police transport them to and from embassy ? i also saw MSNBC dateline , the child molester show and there was an indian man, who said to the police that he was a foreign national / wanted an atty. does being a foreign national make any difference ? does this status make people more difficult to prosecute ? exempt from law ?

How come an initive gets voted on and approved by the voters and then later it gets over turned.

Doesn't this make the initive process worthless? If the people have spoken and voted something in and that it only gets over turned later. Then what is the use?

For example, a number of years ago proposition 187 (no public benefits for illegals) was voted in by the voters and then later got over turned. Does that make it useless?

I am going through a move away case and I'm moving out on my own with my kids. If I can't make it in California even though I prove to exercise responsible budgeting, I may be able to move. Does that mean bare minimal like just things we need or is there any slack for things like a small family vacation, a cell phone and things that we want but that aren't really extragavent?

Hey

I got a ticket for having a dead taillight. I live in the state of California; I’m just wondering what I need to do to take care of it. I can install the new taillight, but can I just go to my local city and get an officer to check that I have fixed my taillight? Or do I have to go to the city where I got the ticket in? Any help welcome, I’m confused by the ticket. I can’t even read the officer’s writing as to when and where I need to show up.

Thanks.

My wife got a phone call from a man saying he was with David Gillette and Tracey Paul law firm asking about a possible family member. Their out of Salt Lake City halfway across the country and I found nothing but some blogs about them. Does anyone really know if this is for real and if they could find her number why wouldn't their "investagators" find who their really looking for.

If it matters, the child is 14 months, the victim is 18, and the offender is 36. The offender married another woman almost a year ago. The woman he married has a 5 yo and is 5 mos pregnant with the offenders child. The case has not gone to court, but since the offender was the victim's teacher and there is TONS of evidence, the DA has said publicly it is a slam dunk case.

Im trying to help my sister, who just found out her deployed soldier husband doesnt want to be married with her anymore when he comes from Iraq.

She left jobs for him, stood by him for 8 years, took care of their 1 child.

And no he just wants to leave her.

Its going to be hard and shes thinkng about the child, and whats best for her too.
this is a complete shock.
He just reenlisted for 6 years, without telling her
and then says he doesnt want to stay married.

Shes stuck because she wants to bring the child home with us to help her.
But she doesnt want to take the child away from him completly.

Is she doesnt give him a divorce..sign the papers...
can she ask him for a legal separation.

Does she still get military spouse beneifts?

She wants to try to get a scholarship and a job if she can, so shes not completely left alone.

Which is sad, because she was a good wife and is a great mother

I got charged with 2nd degree test refusal and 3rd degree DUI the other day and they seized my car with the intent to forfeit it. How do I get it back??? It's really only my 2nd DUI, I got my first one in 2005 when I just turned 21. But they are acting like it's my 3rd because I didn't take the test. And I didn't take the test because I was scared to get a 2nd DUI. They told me it was a crime to not take the test, but didn't bother to tell me that it's a BIGGER crime then the DUI itself, and would actually end up being charged with 2 things!!!
I have a public defender, but he can't do the civil part of the case ( the car). If I hire a private attorney, they can, but I'm a new mom and don't have the money. There's also a loan out on the car, so they wouldn't make much money.

In recent years the CIA has committed more atrosities inside their own borders and in other nations against both their own citizens, enemies and allies than any other agency in the world. For ruthlessness and cruelty and breaking of international laws they easily dwarf any Al Queda works. As a result do you not consider that they are comparable to the Guestapo or perhaps worse? For those of you who dont agree check the news more often and remember WW2 which despite a very late arrival by the US was to put a stop to these atrosities.Dont you now agree that the CIA and the US at large is very much now the very monster that it once vowed to stop? Perhaps the US is more true to the 3rd Reich than Nazi Germany ever was. What do you think?

He has changed his mind and decided he could/would not want to kill people, in particular civilians.

He's been told he can't leave, and must do as he is instructed.

Is that right? You can't leave and you have to go overseas and kill kids if your told to?

I'm not eligable for traffic school, lets just get that out first. I got a speeding ticket at 10pm going 63 in a 40. I dont feel like i was driving that fast, however i just got a new SUV about 3-4 weeks prior and it never feels like your traveling that fast; previously i drove a sedan. on top of that it accerates effortlessly. I dont usually drive in this area, although it is by my house so i guess it doesnt matter. In any case, i guess thats still speeding. The officer pulled me over and honestly..i didnt know why. He ticketed me but he marked "civil court" on it. He also failed to mark that he used a radar to clock my speed. Now im not one to try to get out of things and im sure to a degree i was speeding if he says so but, does this give me any upper hand, or leway?? Anyways i guess my main question is.... what it going to happen tommorrow when i walk in court am i being tried as a civil ticket at criminal speeds??? Maybe someone can clarify?
