Tom Tancredo (Colo) appears to be, i mean IS, the best canditate to save America from excessive and illegal immigration, so that it does not look like California, which has been dramatically transformed today.

But statistics show a low percentage (about 10 percent or less) for Tancredo, so voting for him could be 'wasting a vote'

Is it then better to vote for someone who is more likely to win (the most 'anti' of these main GOPs), with a slightly less strong anti-illegal immigration stance than Tancredo?

Which is better? Which is the smartest vote to reshape America and suppress illegal immigration?

Please no amnesty, the recipe for more to come (as if the current situation was not bad enough, check CA)

Really? Tancredo will not end birthright citizenship for anchor-children? I must go check his website...

Don't ever vote for best of two evils. It will only guarantee continuation of what you voted for.

*Ron Paul has a better anti illegal immigration plan. I don't remember Tancredo saying we should end birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens do you? (not saying he hasn't, but I don't remember) Without doing that, what stops the inevitable illegal aliens from having 8 children who each are automatic citizens? Even with the tightest border security, that multiplier is tremendous.

*edit: Tancredo I think does it wrong. (I think) He does not want a constitutional amendment to end birthright citizenship for children of illegals, he simply wants to consider them out of the jurisdiction of US law, although they are in the country. I think that is dangerous to start saying a human can be here without laws applying to them. The Constitutional amendment is a much better idea to me.

*To the post below, "Work with Mexico to help develop their economy" that is naive. We are sovereign, so are they. Instead we should stop the illegal aliens and work towards a better economy here so that employers can pay more. Its people like you who think erasing borders and culture is a good idea and would vote for such disasters.

Ron Paul's doing much better in the polls and is the only one of the 6 top-tier Republicans who isn't questionable on immigration. McCain is well-known for his support for illegal immigration. Giuliani ran NYC as a sanctuary city. Romney hired illegals for one of his companies. Huckabee's immigration views are more pro-illegal immigration than McCain ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Mike_Huckabee#Immigration ).

Americans for Better Immigration rates Fred Thompson a C ( http://grades.betterimmigration.com/testgrades.php3?District=TN&VIPID=743&retired=1 ) and rates Ron Paul a B with a B+ recently ( http://grades.betterimmigration.com/testgrades.php3?District=TX14&VIPID=787 ). To put these ratings in perspective, Tancredo got an A and McCain got a D.

Tancredo's doing better in the polls than Duncan Hunter who has a similarly strong anti-illegal immigration stance, which would rule Hunter out.

That would leave your decision as being between Tancredo and his strong anti-immigration views or the more-likely to win Ron Paul who is the only top-tier candidate who isn't wishy-washy on immigration. Of the top 3 candidates in the polls (Huckabee, Giuliani, and Thompson), Thompson is the only one even remotely against illegal immigration.

The time to vote for the best candidate is the Primary. After that you many have to hold your nose and vote for the one who is now your party's candidate.

Thus far, I am voting for Tancredo.

Merry Christmas!

Tancredo is a hilarious loon. He's an ancestral immigrant himself, because his last name is italian.

We should stop worrying about immigration from mexico and work with them to help develop their economy. That alone would reduce immigration to a large degree. The reason mexicans come here is for jobs, thats it, jobs. We send jobs to communist china and we deny mexicans outsourced jobs.
