Since America is a SECULAR nation, and not a Christian Nation, why do people think a Jesus Freak Pastor is qualified to run the country?

Seems like many women(even men) are catty towards each other and cannot accept females as authority figures.
Cause if that wasnt the case there would have been at LEAST 1 woman President in America by now. Since the year America, land of the free and equal was born.

Over 200 years of "free and equal" and no woman President yet? hmmmmmmmmmmmm interesting.

And for those who are slow and will point out that women havent had the right to vote until recently...........THAT's exactly my point. It isnt free and equal then is it?????

I was at the job for 8 months, got fired because owner changed china game plans. When I rolled over the 401K, they deducted their contribution, claiming I was not vested.
I called up the 401K investment company, they said I am entitled to the full amount. I contacted my former employer but they ignored me.
Who should I complain to get a fair hearing and arbitration?

source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas

Ironically, Christmas is not even truly a Christian holiday. It is based upon Natalis Solis Invictus, which is a Roman Pagan holiday which translated into English is called the "Birthday of the Unconquered Sun." On this day, Romans worshipped their sun Gods. Most of the "Christmas" traditions were taken from German pagans, who celebrated the holiday of Yule. Yule is actually celebrated by many neopagans, including Wiccans (a group that claims to practice witchcraft).

Christmas, which is obviously "Christ Mass" is a creation of the Roman Catholic Church which was not followed by the early Christian Church (not in the Jewish form intended by Jesus which was led by James, brother of Jesus, in Paul's form, or in Gnosticism) and was originally intended to aid in converting Pagans. Protestants adopted it in the 19th century because too many of their members were becoming Catholic.

Is Fox doing the War on Christmas crap again this year?

I find it a bit strange as to why religion must play a central role in politics and yet none of those elected practice what they preach anyways.

We hear politicians tell us that they are of one faith or another, believe in god, and whatnot, and yet, they send our troops off to kill other people, let people starve--either at home or abroad--and are in bed with corruption, decadence, and sin--on many levels.

Then they tell us that in order to save this country, its faith, morals, and anything connected with religion, we have to vote for the one guy who says he's a [insert religious identity here], and he alone is the one who can lead this country in the right direction.

But why do I get the feeling that religion has really nothing to do with politics, as God has really nothing to do with the way we really vote?

Why must we continue to confuse spiritual angst with social decay in order to advance things along in our own government on a purely religious front?

This question was already asked, but in a very awkward form as "Would Jesus approve of pre-emptive nuclear strikes? Then how can we?"

I am therefore asking the same question, but without the ending portion "Then how can we."

Rational: Religion remains in the realm of theology. Many people say that this is something that can not be proved. So, it would be more proper to ask about Jesus, a man and son of God, rather than to pose an awkward question.

My answer to this question would be, I would venture to say, that Jesus would not approve of pre-emptive nuclear strikes as he is the true son of God. Then should we approve of pre-emptive nuclear strikes? Unfortunately the answer is up to the politicians and not the will of the people.

Part 1. Would he?
Part 2. Should we?

Ok...I recentely got out of the Navy in 05 due to fact that I didn't like it. I went to a psychologist and basically lied my butt off to get out. I couldn't bare to stand those crummy watches in "a" school, and plus I ended up failing my school which probably meant I was going to be undesignated. That's not what I wanted. So after waiting months to class up I end up failing my school. Now I got out, and I want to get back in, because basically i'm not doing anything with my life. I have my records and everything, but will I a be accepted back in? Is there something that I should look for in my records that says I can't. Where can I find it? What are my chances of getting back in?

Why is this? I dont understand the reaosn behind it? Im in the UK remember.

The Loksabha (lower house) passed a bill 'THE MAINTENANCE & WELFARE OF PARENTS AND SENIOR CITIZENS BILL 2007' wherein grownup children would be punished for not taking care of their parents.

The social fabric is very different in India because there is no social security as in other countries and hence with growing social problems and isolation of aging parents i believe the legislation is relevant.

We live in a gang culture with guns and knives being used on our streets, the government wants to decrease unemployment by raising the school leaving age. Could National Service teach some youths of today discipline while training them for a possible future and lowering unemployment. Would it cost the tax payers too much to be feasible

If you were to to join the service again, what would you want the military give you in exchange for your soul?

Some of my friends suggested for me to tell my recruiter that after I get out of bootcamp that I get stationed in my hometown (San Diego, CA)... is there anything else you guys would suggest? Signing bonus etc
