I lied at meps about two things

1. I got a speeding ticket out side of the county I live in so it didnt come out on the bacround check my recruiter did.

2. and I broke both of my elbows, one when i was in 1st grade the other while in 8th

the worst thing is both my recruiter and DAD told me to lie and i did which was a stupid mistake by me.

I was wondering if the investagator would find this out if so how should i come clean?

thanks for responding i really apprieciate it.

you only have to report speeding tickets that are over $150. Will they find out about your past? probably not. A secret security clearance does not go in depth. They just run simple background checks and maybe call a few of your referrals.
Now... The clincher. Lets say a few years down the road you cross train into something that requires Top Secret. BUSTED!!. They will know everything about you. Even the stuff you forgot about. You don't think they will follow you and your life from the past 10yrs? Wrong. They will find out if you tried a joint once with your friend 5 yrs ago. Why? because most the time your "friend" will rat you out. Its better to be up front and honest and get declined for telling the truth, then lie and get tossed for lieing. You would never forgive yourself. So think about everything I just said and make your decision :)

you've been compelled to lie, yet YOU had the alternative of refusing to lie and probable reporting your recruiter. As on your study, it may or won't come out. the boys doing the study would interview adolescence acquaintances or instructors and all it takes is for one in all them to show the time you grow to be in a solid for a pink flag to be raised. in case you want back sparkling it somewhat is your determination. merely be arranged to benefit something from you're no longer getting the clearance and you like yet another MOS to you being kicked out of the deptaltogether. it surely relies upon on what the Marines want to do.

You mght want to say you forgot to mention it, just to clear your mind.
The broken bones are ancient history, and the speeding ticket, there are worse things you could have done.
Just say you know you made a mistake and wanted to put it our of your mind and move on. It won't hurt you.
