After the Robert Hawkins shooting rampage of Dec. 5, 2007, where 8 innocent people were killed and I believe 4 others wounded, are you going to think twice before going to the mall? If you have the gun licence to pack a firearm, will you now take it with you to the mall? Do you think it is advisable for us to get some kind of weapon, e.g. pepper spray, a tazer, a hand gun, before we go shopping at a mall? Do you think all malls should now have armed guards on duty?
What the hell is our crazy, mixed up society coming to?

No, and no signs or mall rules are going to prevent me from carrying a concealed weapon, (yes, I have a permit) or from attempting to protect myself and others, if necessary.
And no, I'm not paranoid, I just refuse to become a statistic.

I live in Nebraska . Eight dead plus the shooter. He walked thru the mall up three floors in full camoflage and a high powered rifle. I am licensed to carry a concealled weapon and do all the time. I would like to tell the families of the victims that I wished I had been there and it could have come out different, but I can't. But sense we just started our conceallled weapons program this year at least we know that it might be possible

Malls wont allow weapons even with a carry permit. Would be more likely to have to use self defense items against a car jacker in the parking lot rather than a shooter inside the mall. Deranged people can cause this type of havoc anywhere including schools, churches and restaurants. I'll still be taking my chances at the mall since its probably one in a million that I will run into a shooter there.

I live in a small town and shootings don't exactly happen every day. But you're always hearing about the bad things happening to the small towns...
still, i'm not worried. I'm not about to let the impending possibility of being shot rule my life.

If my state gave carry permits, which they don't, I would bring a firearm to the mall.

Taser vs 7.62mm SKS= Taser lose!
And no offense I don't want someone who has never even aimed a weapon at another person before whipping out the gun they got because they can, and getting into a gunfight, risking their own life. Let the police handle the situations like that. RAID triaining has made police response to these situations ever faster and takes the fight to the shooter. The last thing we want is to burst in and see you shooting and take you out by mistake.

Nope. Thanks for the 2 points.
P.S. If I die in some random shooting because I was out living my life instead of cowering underneath my kitchen table at home where it's safe, then I say, do me the favor.
