I saw on Sky News this morning that council bosses have warned that council tax will rise above the rate of inflation yet again, because the government is starving them of funds.

We can't keep paying this can we? If this carries on, people soon wont be able to afford to live in this country.

Imagine having the ability to Know before hand that Japan was going to attack Pearl. You Know it 5 years before it happens! If you strike Japan in 1936 the world Looks at you as an agressive Monster in 1938 they look at you as Jumping the Gun because in spite of the Build up by Japan your proof ( at least what you can show) is weak.

or minimize? What are the signs to watch out? Can the state continue to lose its citizens because somebody has lost his job or wants to be famous? Let the authorities educate the citizens on what to propensity/cause that can lead to such violent crime against the state and the nation in general?

Didn't the same people say that there were "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq 5 years ago? Didn't our president, in typical conspiracy theorist fashion, state that the lack of evidence for the non-existent weapons of mass destruction was actually evidence that they existed and that Saddam moved them?

Wasn't the Iraq War started on the same lies that are now being used to attempt to start this Iran War?

The supposed evidence against Iran consists of alot of lies. Ahmadinijad was elected as the candidate of the conservative party in an election manipulated by the CIA in order to put him in power. He never said anything about wiping Israel off the map either. That was a mistranslation which some Iranian news agency made and which nobody ever bothered to correct. His approval ratings are about half of Bush's, so he's a lame duck on his way out at the next election.

Will the American people be gullible enough to be lied into yet another war (Vietnam and Iraq are bad enough)?

The lack of flack jackets, hard vehicles and now the appalling Nimrod disaster, not to mention pointed criticisms from senior officers. Are such problems really limited to our forces among the western democracies in the EEC and NATO? As a civilian I am angry, but well aware I have no knowledge other than press reports. And that is always a very poor basis for opinion.

Hello, I am in 8th grade and I get teased a lot.
So today the teasing got so bad that a boy stabbed me on my inner arm with a pencil
(he is a 6th grader...)
So I told the front office and they talked to the kid....he LIED to them and said that he scratched me with his pencil while he was puting it away....THAT WAS SUCH A LIE!!!
But the front office NEVER believed me when I told them what really happened....

so I was talking with my mother after school and she suggested that we call the police and have the kid that stabbed and teased me arrested.....I do not know if that is the right thing to do....but this kid HITS me in my back, punches me, and calls me names every day....

So, should I call the police and have hip thrown in jail for assault?

You people are always yelling at us that we should sacrifice more and be more giving. (Anyone read Bill Clinton's book, called "Giving"? It's unreadable...)

But THEN, when we try to become successful and make a lot of money so we CAN give a lot to charity or whatever, you scream about us being materialistic and greedy.

Why are you so lame?

I am sorry if some of you did misunderstand.
I am not judging anyone.
I am not upholding a religious view, sorry about that as it is not the way I intended it.
You are right that in UK today maybe it seems to some people that abortion is better than growing up here.
This makes me really sad.
Of course it is right for a woman to be able to choose abortion if she has been raped, or maybe just because she feels like it, it is a personal choice, I have no business judging others.
WHAT I did want to ask was just that since the UK is officially the WORST place according to the OECD why does the government not do more to make the UK climb up to the TOP of the OECD ratings like:
Better hospitals
Better public transport especially for people with pushchairs
Better schools
Better childcare
Safer roads
Less tax on working people
More affordable housing
Then if UK would do better (after all is this not the JOB of government), to make UK the BEST PLACE FOR CHILDREN then there would be less abortion

I don't understand why Romney's religion has been made an issue by the other Republican candidates and not Huckabee’s which is certainly more relevant and deeply held.
Is it possible that they have calculated the potential loss of the Mormon vote as compared with the loss of the Evangelical loonies. I guess principal lies only in the worship of the ballot box, which is to be expected from these assorted clowns. I do however understand that they have asked Thompson not to wear his drooling bib while on national television.

EVery custom officer is millionaire in india (in indian currency) .
They collect money from almost every passenger and incoming shipments , else no go.

similarly many cities in india, where immigration officers take 100 to 500 rs per passenger to clear them (outbound) eg. chennai airport. They even pass many passengers without NOC.
Many fake passports are made in Chennai and Trichy for few thousand rupees.

Are theese authorities in india responsible for security flaw in country which leads to terrorism?

The USA spent billions of dollars in national security trying to avoid terrorist to come to USA to kill people. However it is a dissapoint that the door is open to crazy people to buy wepons and kill people inside USA. In fact I think if terrorists come inside of USA it will be so easy for them to get weapons inside USA. By the way I got tired of the National Rifle Association.

Hi I am joining the Navy, and I just did my physical yesturday. Anyway I had ACL surgery and was told that I would need a waiver for that which would go to BUMED. Well the Chief Medical Officer at MEPS did not disqualify me which I was told would happened because its regulation for some things and ACL reconstruction is one of them. Again, anyway when I was done with the physical which I passed with flying colors (you know the stuff in your underwear for those who are military) I took my packet to the front desk and they said all I needed was a consult from one of their orthopedic doctors that they schedule for. I thought that was weird because usually BUMED requests a consult before the waiver is fully approved, but CMO said all the needs to see is a consult and I'm cleared. Well I'll get to my question I looked at my PHULES score and got all 1's except a 0 on the Lower exermities. I looked it up there is no 0 is the CMO leaving it at 0 till he gets the results of the consult.
