I saw on Sky News this morning that council bosses have warned that council tax will rise above the rate of inflation yet again, because the government is starving them of funds.

We can't keep paying this can we? If this carries on, people soon wont be able to afford to live in this country.

well what a surprise. just what people have been saying for ages. i think this one was pretty inevitable really wasn't it to anyone with half a brain cell. of course it can't be to pay for mass immigration can it? because the pro immigration groups all tell us that pays for its self. so what is the reason for it? lets face it until they sort out the immigration from within the EU and not outwith it. you will pay more and more for less and less. yes i know i know I'm nothing but a racist ( or is that realist )

The Government have told councils there is no more central funds available to provide welfare and housing for the ever increasing amount of immigrants that arrive on councils doorsteps but they can borrow money from the money markets and that money has to be paid back somehow hence the rise in your council taxes. And under the human rights act councils are legally obliged to provide housing and welfare for immigrants

It no longer honest. each househould ought to be ranked in my opinion no longer based on the fee of your sources yet by using what the proprietors can discover the money for - we pay £a hundred forty five in line with month (over the ten) this is a great quantity to be coughing up. Our council has purely cut as much as make the provider they furnish greater desirable ( he he ) and has long gone something like 3 hundred% over projected objective and hense we now have yet another strengthen. a customer of mine had a groovy theory in that if accross the board you decreased CT by using a minimum of 25% it makes it greater fee-effective for each physique and that they could be lots greater probably to obtain from all than ought to chase fee from people who dont or incur courtroom rates. All this money is saved and used on actual ineffective ventures and gruesome homes and not something that the community choose or choose!!!

You must ask yourself some important questions.

Can you elect a city council who will reduce your taxes?

Don't give government an endless succession of chances. Try ONCE to get the government who will reduce your taxes, and if that fails you must realize that elections aren't going to work things out for you.

If you can't elect a government that will reduce your taxes, then would you be better off with no government at all than with this government?

If you are one of the people for whom government costs more than it is worth, then how will you go about getting rid of it?

There is some precedent for people taking back the right to abolish government, you know - regardless of what the laws and the officials have to say about it. There's nothing "magic" about the number 1776.

Can you shoot a policeman who is only trying to enforce the laws? Why not? After all, he's perfectly willing to shoot you.

Can you kill a soldier who is only trying to obey his orders? Why not? He has no moral qualms about killing you.

Can you steal or sabotage your government's vehicles and military hardware? Can you poison a ministry full of bureaucrats? Can you tear down the bridges and make highways impassable? Can you bomb or burn down a government office building? Can you shoot a helicopter out of the sky? Can you dig a clever pit that overturns and traps tanks? Can you cut powerlines and bring down the grid?

If you can't do these things by yourself, can you and a thousand of your fellow citizens do these things by cooperating together?

There will be a lot of fury coming your way from men who have no personal grievance with you. They'll attack you simply because the government pays them, with YOUR tax dollars, to attack you. Can you deal with it? If not, maybe you and a great many of your neighbors can.

When you protest taxes with any kind of efficacy, you risk your life. The government is perfectly willing to let you yap, as long as you remain ineffective at getting what you want, namely, reduced taxes. When you become effective, you should not be surprised when the government sends men to murder you.

There's one more thing to ask yourself. Why does the government insist upon doing things you don't like, and taxing you more than you want to be taxed, while not giving you your money's worth in return. Why does the government put you in the position of choosing between either (1) painful obedience to the laws and the continuance of that pain for your children and grandchildren, and (2) an even more painful, if briefer, civil war? Is there some group, perhaps in plain sight but in disguise of their real nature, who induces this behavior from the government, causing it to act in accordance with their wishes and not with yours? How would you know who this group is?

Here's are some rules to judge by:

1. If it LOOKS as if the government favors some other group above its citizens, then it probably DOES.

2. If it LOOKS as if the government has betrayed you, then it probably HAS.

You must find and eliminate the cause of the treason. How?

3. To know who are your rulers, first know whom you may not criticize.

We can barely afford our council tax as it is! We're already in arrears with it. If it goes up anymore we just won't be able to pay. Simple as that.

No, we can't.
Read in the local paper ours might be going up 'around 4%'.
The govt. tell us inflation is running around 2%.
Something is wrong somewhere.
We support too many illegals, spend too much on Quangos which often are 'unfit for purpose'. Taxpayers money.
Go figure.

The cost of living has gone up a tremendous amount over recent years, whilst wages have generally got lower.
That's what happens when stupid people vote for Labour.
May we never forget.

Maybe they should cut down on all the illegals claiming every benefit going, then there would be loads of money left in the pot.
