Einstein was right. The Third World War was an industrial and political war waged between the West and the Soviet Union. The battlefields included proxy armed conflicts all over the world and the political/economic direct conflict. The Sov's lost that one. Einstein said the forth World War would be fought with sticks and stones...that would be the War against Terror.

Lets see our governments convince us Duck and Cover, will protect us now.

Are we watching the middle east, for the start as the rest of the world scrabble for their oil

Or civil war in America over a massive stock market crash that drags the world back to the stoneage or religious versus government differences in a struggle for power and control

Or Russia over all those states that want to break away, and Civil war again over who rules the nation.

What about Europe, plenty of age old differences here to dredge up, over wars we should forget. And other current power struggles

Yes the longtailed cats need to be nervous, because this room is chocked full of rocking chairs,

The only major power that is of concern to the US is Russia. China doesn't have to attack us. They're purchasing us. But I don't think either of them are a military threat. They're too intelligent. They know if they start anything, it could easily escalate into a full-scale nuclear exchange. There are enough missiles around the world that if 10% of them made it to their targets, life on Earth would end.

Those who survived the initial exchange would be the unlucky ones. Depending on the number of bombs that went off, and their proximity to them, they'll slowly cook from the radiation in the water they drink, the food they eat,and the air they breathe.

I live near an large city, an air base, and a missile complex. I'm almost ground zero for a prime target. When the sirens go off or I hear the missiles launch, I'm going out in my back yard and lie back in a lawn chair. I'll be vaporized instantly.

The problem isn't the major powers. It's the little countries who want to be treated like the big countries. I'm thinking Iran, but there are others. They don't seem to realize that a couple missiles with multiple warheads could turn their country into a sheet of irradiated glass that nobody could go near for decades... or they don't care. Some say that Iran doesn't have the deliver capability. They said the same thing about Iraq. You don't need a three-story tall missile. You need some moron willing to carry a suitcase with a dirty bomb into a city. You don't even need that. Send a teaspoon of powder (anthrax) into an envelope labeled "Important: Dated Material Inside." It'll look like an ad, but people will open it to find out what dated material is inside.

Well, if there is no WW3 no one can blame Bush for not trying his best to make one. Even when the US intelligence say there has been no attempt by Iran to make nuclear weapons since 2003 Bush still asks for a 3rd round of sanctions on top of the first 2 rounds which were already imposed in error.

Sanctions for what?

according to giuliani's foreign policy advisor Norman Podhoretz (among others) WWIII was actually the Cold War.
His new book:
World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism.

ever heard the slogan:
"what if they gave a war and nobody came?"
