THEY ARE JUST PICKING ON ROMNEY.
He's handsome and rich and he's been a consider a winner except for his religion.
It's quite a shame since the real issues are not being discussed, resolved and dealt with.

it is only greater political calculation. Hillary has a staffer launch to Novak a message that they've crap on Obama yet do no longer desire to tell anybody what that's. day after as we communicate they deny it, after which make an apology for it. Too late! injury carried out (which replaced into the plan all alongside). Huckabee is attempting to do an identical element. deliver out little jabs, and is attempting to deliver the message that "genuine" Christians would under no circumstances vote for a Mormon. Then can make an apology and desire to shrink the aftermath of the style of assertion. Why would anybody vote for the style of guy as Huckabee? because of the fact they are fundamentalist nuts thats why (all of us else would be vote casting for yet another). i'm going to be vote casting for Romney.

While I know that religion does indeed matter. I also know that character matters. I will be watching both Romney and Huckabee over the coming weeks. What I like about Romney is his business experience...(Olympics, Staples, other businesses). The other thing I like about him is his clean records and he does appear "presidential".
On the other hand, there is Huckabee- One willing to act and talk like a Christian without being "religious". That is appealing. He has been a governor. He has run a state and has a positive record.
Religion does indeed play a role because we are all driven by our belief system. We need to keep our eyes open. Pay attention to their actions, their record, their behaviors....
and then, make an informed decision.

MItt is a far better executive than Huckabee. He has been successful in every endeavor.
As for religion, of course Mormonism is focused on more than Huck's Christianity. Mormonism is foreign and different to most Americans.
By the way, Mitt's campaign released excerpts of his Mormon speech to be given today, here is a link:

How about because the liberal media is asking these stupid questions to make republicans look like bumbling religious idiots, and avoiding allowing the candidates to discuss the real issues! They especially put down Ron Paul, however America is more than the liberal media!!

Let's face it. All religions are not created equal.
The USA was founded by Protestant Christians who believed in the word of God over the word of man. They believed that all people are sinners by nature, and that this tendency gets magnified when you give them power. Therefore they created checks and balances, and wrote a Constitution to keep officials accountable to a written standard by which all the statements and actions of men could be judged.
Mormonism, on the other hand, is a new faith founded by one man, Joseph Smith. It places the word of man as the supreme law in the form of the Mormon prophet. If what he says today goes against what he said yesterday, they go with what he is saying today. There is no objective law to the Mormon mind, only authoritative human opinions. This is not the principle upon which our government is founded.
Mitt Romney is a "temple mormon", a high priest of the LDS church who is sworn to complete obedience to what comes out of Mormon HQ in Salt Lake City. He is not a nominal adherant. He is the LDS church. If this does not concern you, let me ask you this. If I am running for president, and I tell you about a guy named Bob, who I believe speaks for God whenever he speaks, and I have sworn to obey Bob, is there any way I could get your vote for President? What if I tell you I believe that Bob speaks for God, and I have sworn to obey him, but I assure you that I won't ask Bob's advice when it comes to national matters? Could that change your mind?
With Mike Huckabee the Baptist, on the other hand, we have a person who believes in God. He believes (as far as I know), as our founders believed, that God has spoken in his word, the Bible, and that God holds all men accountable to uphold it. This is the kind of person who would uphold the principle of our constitution, the kind of principle upon which our Republic was founded. It's the word of God over the word of man, the law over an official's opinion. If the Southern Baptist Convention gives an opinion to Mike Huckabee, they can't say he's a bad Baptist if he disagrees and declines to follow their advice. It's just godly advice. Protestants do not believe in infallible popes or prophets today.
It is safe to elect a Protestant Christian, but not a Mormon.

Ha!
Off the cuff, my guess is that, although faith is a real issue for individuals and groups, it's more of an entertainment gag.
There are much more important issues to be addressed. Personal beliefs and character are important. But much more time needs to be spent addressing the divide that exists across the board in America right now.
What is happening and how did we get to this point?
Foreign policy and the economy.
These are priorities.

I like Huckabee a lot, but my main concern about him is that he's so religious. However, at least he's a straight shooter about it. Romney not only has a religion that seems fairly strange sometimes, but he squirms like nobody's business whenever religion comes up. He refuses to answer any questions that could alienate him from any religious group. Not exactly standing up for what you believe in.
