The Dems planned to fund SCHIP by raising taxes on cigarettes.

If the Dems saw this as a way of getting people off of cigarettes, why aren't they raising the cigarette tax anyway?

That list is going to come in very handy in '08?

Waterboarding was invented during the Spanish Inquision

Do you really need a morality lesson on yahoo answers as to why waterboarding is wrong?

Hold up a minute there neocons before you call me a muslim lover.

John McCain, (R) AZ has publicly disavowed waterboarding at the Republican debates. I'm pretty sure he's conservative enough.

... getting the 1/3 of poor kids who are already entitled to free healthcare signed up?

Don't Dems care about those kids? Dems refused to require that 95% of poor kids sign up before more money is given to the richer kids under SCHIP.

I was caught with about 1/4 of a spliff in a matchbox whilst sitting in a car talking to a friend. I'm 25 and had never been in trouble with the police in my life. Not even a speeding ticket.

Wasn't taken to the station or had fingerprints taken, just asked to sign a piece of paper and sent on my way.

:(

I think that our country has shifted to a more Liberal ideology than we have ever had before. I think that our Liberals from yesterday are now our extremists, our Democrats are now our Liberals, our Republicans are Democrats, and the Conservatives are considered to be a "true" Republican. What do you think? Please be respectful. Thank you!

I was hit by someone running a red light. Major damage of my vehicle. Both airbags went off but both inside were injured and taken to hosp. After reporting the accident, I was called by my ins co., Nationwide, and was told by assigned agent and confirmed by personal agency, to deal directly with the at-faults insurance company-State Farm? I have always been told not to give info to the other. State Farm has already admitted fault. Also, any quidelines in asking for reinbursment for pain/suffering/loss wages etc. any adive is welcome. Should I speak with a lawyer - if so, when?

It's stupid how she cannot drive in California anymore with her Loussiana drivers license. Because that she got affected in the court in the past days and the consequence was that she couldnt see her kids anymore.

Common we are in United States ("United") that shouldnt be an issue.

I can drive with my driver license of Texas to anywhere in the states. It's so stupid.

American laws are like squares and so stupid.

That's why people in the world hate us

Not to be greusome, but do you ever wonder where the limbs go that are amputated in the hospital? Are they burried as a group or just dumped in the incinerator? I just wonder if the troops wish they could have said goodbye to their limb, like maybe somehow it would help in the healing process to say a last goodbye, to say thanks. Afterall they have been quite attached for some time.

If those that sent our troops to war could only envision the miles of limbs lost if lined up together holding hands, then maybe they could understand, maybe in the death of all these limbs we could appreciate life better.

I think it's odd that with more than a year left to go, he's quietly communicating with the person he thinks will be the next President.

This is traditional for a President in the last weeks of an administration, not the last year.

Your opinions?
