Ok heres the deal . I have a 05 Yukon that was left to me after my Dad passed away. I been trying the last 7 weeks now to get this vehicles registration done. They won’t let me get the tags for the Yukon because it under my dads name. I have a copy of my dads will and everything where is states the vehicle was left to me. Because I was not the power of attorney of my dads estate, there saying I have to have the power of attorney sign a piece of paper saying this vehicle indeed was left to me by my father . And my aunt (the power of attorney) wont sign this page because of a piece of land that was left to me by my father that she wanted. I’m doing everything I can to try to get the vehicles registration done. I have had a lawyer on this for some time now and hes just not getting anywhere. I am just curious to see if anyone else has dealt with a situation like this? I cant switch lawyers, and I cant get rid of the land, so those options are out!

He did this to appease the gay mafia who are hijacking our schools. It seems that gays are "uncomfortable" with those words because it assumes that all parents are straight. Let's see what words we can ban next. This is insane!

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" effectively have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

Years ago, I supported the invasion of Iraq -- to my mind, Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator, guilty of mass murder, just like Hitler. But years on, the Iraq war had not played out like WWII. What am I missing in my thinking? I thought taking out Saddam would be like taking out Hitler. But I'm missing something... can you point me in the direction of some websites that have info on this topic? Thanks.

As with Bush, Rove focuses like a laser on battles, just to lose the entire war.

Neither has foresight nor depth of long term consequences for their decisions.

How did the good patriotic people of Nevada, a state with a strong history of self reliance and military support ever elect a far left liberal loon like Harry Reid as one of their Senators?

Shouldn't family court judges be held accountable and shouldn't there be an appeal process to the decissions they make? I was told there was no appeal process to family court rulings by the state of Delaware. Some decissions put non-custodial parents in a position where they can't even take care of themselves let alone their children. Shouldn't there be some "just" form of checks and balances?

Just wondering. With having no recollection of it in the morning, and being around weapons and other people in a war zone. This might be a dangerous medical condition to send "down range." I am not in the military, (husband is) He doesn't sleepwalk, and is already deployed, but I just had that thought about sleepwalking and the hidden dangers while deployed!

...it were discovered that another country was using the exact same tactics to get info from US soldiers that the US uses on suspected (and actual) terrorists? what if that countries leaders said that what they were doing was not torture, yet refused to define what they believed to be or not to be torture?

would you be ok with this treatment of our soldiers? shouldn't (and isn't there) an international standard that all nations should uphold concerning human rights? if a nation refused to uphold and protect human rights, then how could that nation expect other countries not to treat their POW's any differently?

My mom passed away in August and I filed an insurance claim but to date haven't gotten any notification. The burial expenses are supposed to be paid from the benefits and the remainder put into accounts for each beneficiary. The bill is due tomorrow, October 20.

Do I need to ask my family for money to help pay it off or just wait. I don't want the funeral home getting double paid. There are no liquid assets otherwise I would just pay from estate, that's been used to pay mortgage. I recently filed paperwork to become administrator because she died intestate.
