If the suspension is a punishment, you will not get paid.

You do hear of "suspended with pay", but that normally applies to removing someone from a poisition of authority while an investigation goes on. If they didn't say specify suspended with pay, you are not getting paid.

Depends on whether they chose to suspend you with pay or suspend without pay.

That is up to the company- I know where I work the only reason you get suspended from work is as a disciplinary action and it is most definitely without pay.

Depends.

Some jobs have their dictation of "suspension with pay" and "suspension without pay". But I know that if they ask you to do anything on the day of suspension (my former job had one write a "problem resolution" on your "decision day"), then they must pay you. Otherwise, they don't have to pay you for being suspended. Suspension is punishment.

No, they are only required to pay you for the hours you work. When you are suspended you are not working and therefore are not entitled to pay.

In the US no.
However if you have a Union they may pay you if they believe the suspension was wrong.

In other cases you either use your vacation time (PTO) for most companies or if you have none you do not get paid.
