Grow some balls and enforce the existing laws... Too many whimps working in our government

First off, I'd have to agree with other people above:
1) Enforce the laws already on the books.
2) Punish people who hire illegal aliens…this would destroy their incentive to come.
Secondly, I don't hate Latinos, so don’t even go there. But the FACT is that they are breaking the law...and just as importantly, don’t care. How fair is it to all the other people of the world (who also want freedom and opportunities) who come here and go through the citizenship process legally? Not fair at all.

Also, to become a citizen, you are required to pass a certain level of competency about how our government works and its history. These illegal aliens (by the way, many of them are Asians) have no incentive to be a functioning part of our government process. People, this is no trivial matter. I personally don’t want our culture to decay. Think about third world countries, who wants to live like that? Does anyone actually believe we can stand as a nation with no patriots?

Another point: I don’t want illegal immigrants to be oppressed or persecuted. I simply want them to be LEGAL (and not via amnesty!) It is not right for most citizens to pay taxes for schools and hospitals etc. while Illegal Aliens live here getting a relatively free ride. (O.K, I understand that they pay tax when they buy something – duh.) The fact is they live in an underground economy and thus don’t pay their fair share taxes for goods and services which our government provides.

Lastly, I don’t like the fact that most of them don’t have a driver’s license – not to mention insurance – and so when they smack into your car on the freeway they simply scoot, leaving you to bleed and pay for the damage. It has happened to my family and friends several times. (O.K, I can’t prove that they were illegal, but use common sense. If it were a legally licensed driver with insurance, most likely he would stick around – wouldn’t you?)

To summarize:
1) If someone came here by breaking the law, and lives outside the law, why should/would he obey any other laws?
2) Why should other peoples of the world -- equally or even more persecuted -- give these people “cuts” in the line for citizenship, when they are waiting for years?
3) Why should working legal citizens have to bear the brunt of the expenses of hospitals, schools and social services?
4) Why do I even have to argue these obvious arguments?

No. Given a decision between 12 million regulation abiding, experienced/knowledgeable immigrants from all factors of the globe vs. 12 million unlawful farm workers (and who's accustomed to what number violent criminals), i will flow with the former. No contest. U.S. Immigration ought to be sure who comes into the rustic. they have needless to say fallen down on the pastime and now we could desire to handle 12-15 million ordinarily unskilled illegals who desire to wave foreign places flags, communicate their community languages ("Push 2 for Spanish") and don't seem to desire to become element of the final society. What surpassed off to the melting pot? No. Your theory would not even start to make sense. P.S. This difficulty started with Reagan's 1986 Amnesty and persisted interior the process the Bush 40-one, Clinton and Bush 40 3 presidencies. How ought to our federal government be so irresponsible for see you later?

Stop the entitlement program.
IF---USA refused to pay for illegals health care and just deported them, that would be a good start!

Then, let USA forbid illegals or any other NON-Citizens access to welfare, food stamps, wic, section 8 housing and all the other benefits American poor Citizens get.

If America put it's Citizens first and stopped rewarding illegals as if they were entitled to free education, health care and food, America could use that money to deport them daily. As it is, illegals' rights are more protected than any American and there is no incentive for them to leave OR learn English.

After that, prosecute ALL businesses who hire illegals. Not just fines, but actual jail time.

Eventually the insecure border would be manageable to protect.

It's about PATRIOTISM, not racism. American lawmakers need to look out for it's own Citizens, instead of NON-Citizens. American Lawmakers favor Spanish Speaking people of the world. This needs to stop!

I don't want to press anything to hear English!

Actually enforcing the laws that are in place and also inacting laws that fine employers 10k per illegal that they hire. and a 10k per illegal that a landlord give housing to.

If there is sich a stiff fine for employing and housing illegals it will not be worth the risk and according to the pro illegals they are only here to work so if there is no work there is no reason to come here.

To the guy who said accept they are here and a vital part of the country. Should we also accept that petty theifs are here and they provide vital economic value when they resell their goods to people who cant buy them at retail price? You dont just accept criminal adtivity becuase there is a lot of it going on.

YES we should stop it that is why we have laws against it. We should stop our politicians who are pandering to the votes of the people who support this. I wish we could just clean house in the goverment and get rid of them all.

If there is a problem not filling the jobs when the illegals are no longer here then get the people on welfare to do the work if they are fit to work and if that doesnt fill the workers then we bring in inmate labor and the farmers or who ever would pay the state prision minimum wage for each inmate working and that money would offset the cost of housing the inmate reducing the burden on the tacpayer to house them for sitting around doing nothing and the welfare person will be working for their pay

Secure the borders, catch the human traficants, enforce labors laws, eliminate property taxes and install a whole 9.5 tax to all US, keep our $$$ here, search ways to spread the message about the importantce of come here legal etc...

eliminate the desire to come here with a multi prong approach
1: you stop those from hireing illegals with huge fines designed to cripple their buisness and jail time reguardless

2: we enforce laws allready in existance arrest illegals where ever they are,
build a strong fence
arrest and detain any caught on us soil. make their time
in coustdody miserable ,isloation, chained restraints, non citizen no rights untill their nation vouches for them ,at which time they are delivered deep into their nation and a bill submitted for the expense to that nation
3: stop services to illegals ,no school ,no medical unless life /death.
no financial aid, no food stamps, no bilingual services

it is way too desireable for an illegal to come here if we make only legal immigrants welcome and not illegals then the tide will turn we will win through attrition

There never is going to be a way to "truly" stop illegal immigration. The only thing that America can do is to become more stern about enforcing the rules and stop allowing cities to become "safe-houses" by allowing illegals sanctuary in thier city limits. All imigrants who are illegal should however be given the oppurtunity to become a citizen. They should have to also hold down a job and pay taxes, like any other citizen. Such as tax anone who is on a workers visa.

2 ways to stop something illegal.

1. make it legal.

2. enforce the law better.

In many cases #1 would involve less suffering, less voilence, and less termoil, but it does not look as cool on the evening news.

Best way to stop illegal immigration? By allowing our law enforcement agencies to enforce the laws and deport individuals that are here illegally. And this is ALL law enforcement agents - police, federal law enforcement, and border agents. All should be able to enforce our laws.

Education is another way to stop illegal immigration, but I can see that education is something that escapes you.

Your 1st step in stopping it would be by learning to spell the word correctly. It is spelt "ILLEGAL"... not "illigal"

now carry on!
